Well, I am not sure what you mean with 7. Does this mean veto power in everything?

In any case, the rest of the points are good, so I voted yes ;)
(although Number 1 they will never allow it to happen)

It shouldn't be considered as a veto power in everything... This should be considered as a political safeguard, just in case...

1- All foreign troops shall be withdrawn.

There are TCs who like to see some Turkish army presence, even if it's symbolic like 650, to feel safer at least during the transitional period.
2- All refugees will have the right to return.

No solution will ever guarantee return of all refugees as long as we talk about federation. It's that simple.
3- All settlers shall be compensated by Turkey and repatriated.

I wish this could happen but it's much more complicated. Who's a settler? Is the son/daughter of a settler a settler as well? What if the settler married to a TC? And so on...
5- No bizonality, just bi-communality in a unitary state.

Bizonality is a must for TCs. Otherwise we can simply return back to the RoC.

First of all, what is bizonality and what is bicommunity? I can't understand the diffeences.

And as for the recognizing who are settlers. I think that anyone who is a settler or a descendant of a settler then they should be considered a settler. If they are married to a TC then they can be considered a Cypriot as well. Maybe the 3rd generation settlers can have the abilty to apply for citizenship.

I know this might seem unfair but so is inhabiting someone elses house illegally for over 30 years. Thats what you get .

The Republic of Cyprus (RoC) is supposed to be bicommunal, meaning both communities are guaranteed to be represented in it. There's no bicommunality in the RoC right now since there is no TC representation. But there's some bicommunality on paper, that's why you see Turkish on Cyprus pound or passport.

The RoC was bicommunal but it was not bizonal because TCs and GCs lived all over the island. No community was condensed in one particular area. In a bizonal federation, that hopefully we'll have in Cyprus, TCs will probably be majority in the north and GCs in the south. TCs and GCs will be free to make any choices they like in their respective zones (as long as these choices do not contradict with the federal laws). Thererefore there will be two zones, one TC zone and one GC zone, making up the federal bizonal Cyprus.

Anyway the right to return, does not mean automatically that they would return. Important polls for this issue do exist and from memory the percentage is low.If you are interested to know how much I will search and revert.

I have voted "No" because:

1- All foreign troops shall be withdrawn.--> Agree

2- All refugees will have the right to return.--> Disagree.

3- All settlers shall be compensated by Turkey and repatriated. .--> In theory agree, but in reality it is not feasible.

4- All Cypriots who have claims regarding of their past or present losses and ask for justice will have the right to apply national and international courts. .--> In theory agree, but in reality it is not feasible.

5- No bizonality, just bi-communality in a unitary state...--> Disagree

6- Fixed proportional participation on executive body.--> Agree, but fixed and proportional contradicts itself. Nobody knows what will happen 30 years down the road in population terms. I said agree to only proportional part.

7- Fixed equal representaion and power sharing on legislative and judicial bodies. -->Agree, but fixed and proportional contrdicts itself. Nobody knows what will happen 30 years down the road in population terms. I said agree to only proportional part.

i agree with the refugee return. i think that it is necessary for every refugee ot have the right to return whether they are TC or GC. of course if they choose not to, they can get fully compensated.

i think the ideal republic would be where TCs and GCs can live together, like say in Pyla (even though im not sure how Pyla works exactly but in theory it sounds great).

of course, the turkish settlers would have to be removed. immediately. cause they could be the end of a harmonious cypriot peace.
