i think one can love his country , but the word "proud" to be a .... is rediculous.

one can be proud for his own achievements, and not because he happened to be born in a place. you cannot be proud for somthing that you didnot have a choise

But whatever........... I'm English...and Proud! Nothing or no-one can take that away. And I dont need a list either!

At least we have someone here (Microphone)very genuine who is not ashamed to declare his love for England (of course his own country).

I am commend him for that!

I think shoushoucos has the same right to be proud of Cyprus unlike others who are naive and easily declare partial love or nothing at all for Cyprus, or were too quick to criticize it

I am also very prioud of my Country and the way i was raised here.

I think I agree with cypezokyli. You can love your country but you can be proud only for your achievements! But I guess if your country achieved something with your contribution then you can also be proud Very Happy

For a place so small we have a lot of things. Sea, mountain, ancients, clubs, Sotos etc. If you found nothing interesting then maybe your interests and our interests don't match Wink

Hi Lenkah, it's a shame you found nothing about Cyprus that you like...I guess it's personal taste...

I think it's great (Not that I'm biased or anything...Wink), it's got great mountains, beaches, ancient monuments, old churches, mosques (as well as other religious buildings) and we can't forget the food...Soulva? Genius!! Very Happy

Hi Swashbuckler..I don't think I agree, I don't think it's quite right to not allow people to be proud of their Greek heritage, a heritage which is undoubtable...I don't think anyone can deny that Cyprus has through the ages, had a certain...urm... 'Greekness' to it...If that's the correct way to put it Confused ....(I think I've started to ramble again.. Smile .)

Peace! Smile
