Beastie

I found a peculiar beastie in my garden. There is a photo at this site on the Cyprus Nature Forum.

Anyone know what it is?

It worked for me. Maybe you need to be logged in to Yahoo, though.

OK, I now know what it is. It isn't an animal, at all, but the egg-case or ootheca of a mantid.

In view of this, I've moved the photo to the insect gallery at http://photos.groups.yahoo.com/group/cy ... g+case.jpg

I receive an error even though I logged in with my yahoo id.

Here is what I found for "ootheca of a mantid":

Sorry, I had a look and found that only members of the Group can download/upload photos. All you need to do is to go to http://groups.yahoo.com/group/cypnature/?yguid=38299784 and request membership on top right. You should then be able to view the photo (may take up to 15 minutes for your membership to be inscribed, wait until you receive the Welcome message by e-mail).

There is no way to configure Yahoo Groups for non-members to view photos; I didn't know that. Sorry if I misled you.
