from one point i am really happy that athanasios kicked ass in pervolia and pelendri...
i guess he is the only person who managed to cause "party" dissobidience.

from the other side as i happened to have met a number of athanasios supporters they really gave me the impression of religious fanatics. and that brings to me fear. its somehting we absolutely do not need in the 21st century

You forgot about Annan. He did it also, only in his case the "party" disobedience was in reverse.

Until recently I was not following what the Bishops were saying. I am not religious and I don't care.

However now that I follow the events a bit due to the elections I would say that Athanasios seems to act more in line with his position. The others sound just like politicians.

What I am not sure is if this kindness that Athanasios is trying to project is real or fake. Chrysostomos is real for sure, he tells whatever comes to his head. On the other hand Nikiforos is fake for sure. Even his voice is fake trying to pretend he is Makarios.

His kindness is 100% fake. He made coments that were 100% reacist comments! He refereed to all homosexuals as evils and many other comments that belong to the last century not this century! He will definetly attemt to make cyprus to be an " islamic vesrion" of a christian state!

He will also make the coruption of the church to flourish! God save us!

Oh no, that's not a good thing... :(

It's the 21st century for Christ's sake, whatever happened to 'not judging others, only yourself'??

Thats the general attitude of our church.

If I remember correctly the church opposed the removal of a law that made homosexuality illegal. Fortunately the law was removed anyways.
