Forum unavailable

Why is it that the forum is often unavailable to me? Yesterday and the day before are cases in point but, since I restarted using the forum a few weeks ago, I would guestimate that it has been unavailable on average one day per week.

Hello,

Are you by any chance using Netrunner from Cytanet to access the internet?

I have been having the same trouble devil, from what I can gather it has much to do with the service provided by 'Cytanet', they do manage to resolve the problem quite quickly (in my case), but it is very annoying nonetheless.
Keep up the good work. You Devil You !!!!

I would also mention that I regularly visit about 20 forums most days. Many of them are in phpBB, which is a very poor forum software, compared with, e.g., SMF (free) or vBulletin (paid). This is the only one with which I have difficulties, so I can't see where the ISP can have an influence, unless there is something specifically added to the script to cause it.

I have never problems. But I am with Otenet :p Why some people like Cytanet? Otenet and Netway are the best. Otenet is just 10 pounds per month and now they have an offer for Laiki Bank clients for just 54 pounds for the whole year! :D

Another forum I am a member of uses vBulletin and there frequently seems to be problems there with the time it takes to access the server to serve up posts. However this forum is always fine with me.

My ISP provides the capability for me to (pay!) to host a forum on my webserver, that would use phpBB. I have not done this personally but people I know who have done have not mentioned problems to me, although they do have anything like the number of members or traffic that e.g this site has.
