This is not how fm radio works and as mobile phone are operating on uf and relay there is now reason for my phone not to work in the the north, apart from the signal being 'jammed'. If live close to the boarder then this makes sense, but if you want talk to anybody anywhere in the world you can as GC phones work anywhere in europe but not northern cyprus.

in that case all you have to do is get a Turkcell or Telsim sim card and top it up.... you can use your mobile in the north in most areas anyway... I have been livong here for the last six months and never missed a call....

They do not recognise borders...

I regularly travel on both sides, and its merely a matter of range from the tower..

My english phone, in strovolos, is often found roaming on turkcell!

SO its quite simple really, if you have a turkcell and a cyta mobile, they will prety much both work all over nicosia... both sides of the green line
