First of all I like to thank brother cfor replying, but still I am quite unsure about Cyprus. How safe is it, Do cypriots appreciate foreigners and what are the opportunities for earning and expenses for living.

I can only really speak of the North.
North Cyprus is very safe - certainly more so than the UK in general terms. Crime rates are low and violent crimes very low.
Generally we welcome Brits (and others) in the North with open arms. Anyone that visits or lives here, despite the 'situation' are very welcomed.
Living expenses are low compared with the UK - but finding work is hard in the North and earnings are lower as well, which relefects the lower costs of living.
Hope that helps. |

| Speaking for the south, again Cyprus is a pretty safe place, far more so than much of the UK. In regards to working as a foreign student, you'd need to do some research into that as you'd probably need to seek a work permit to do that. I'd imagine that you also need to demonstrate that you have sufficient funds to support yourself. You'd also need to look at the visa restrictions for a non-EU national. |
