No TCs in the RoC team.
Come to think of it, and I am not being condescending or anything, but I'm not sure there are any TC football players who would be good enough to play in the Cyprus team. Of course, this is only based on a recent match between GC team Nea Salamina and a TC team, which the GCs won easily - and they're not even any good, really (they don't have any players in the RoC team). But then again, the GCs have foreigners playing, and all that, so that might play a role. Or maybe there are some TCs that are good enough and I've just never heard of them.
And true, they're not going very far, either way. |

| Just out of interest, does anyone know if any TCs play in the German league? I'm not familiar with any in the English league which would be the other likely candidate. |

| Whoa! Izzet is a TC? That guy is pretty good... Does he have family in the north? I mean, was he born and raised there, or what? |

| From what i know is that his father is a tc and he was raised in u.k and his turkish is quite weak but albeit he is a very good footballer who had a choice for playing for the England team or turkey and we know who he chose. |

Blimey, if Izzet had chosen the RoC team, they might actually win something... |

Unlikely. It's not that the Cypriot team lacks in talent. It's an attitude thing. I mean, you look at the individual players, they're good enough to make something happen, but they just can't. They've never believed they can. |

| Then it sounds like they need a top-class coach... let me guess, the coach is either a product of Cypriot nepotism or is some Greek with a reputation but no success to his name... |

Actually, I kinda like the coach now. For the last few years it had been some dude from Montenegro who had done absolutely nothing. Before him, the Cypriot nepotism guys were there for years.
But now this Greek dude is the man. His name is Angelos Anastasiadis and he's a mean SOB. He always looks mad at everything and everyone.
His first couple of games weren't bad...
Time will tell. |
