There are only a few countries that will not recognize Kosovo's Independence....Russia, Cyprus oh yeah and Serbia. The vast majority of the world will recognize Kosovo. This should be a wake up call to Cyprus...get your shit together soon!!!!

During his final annual news conference as Russian president, Putin said: "I don't want to offend anyone, but Northern Cyprus has been a de facto independent republic for 40 years. Why then don't you recognize it? Aren't you, Europeans, ashamed of applying double standards in solving identical problems in different parts of the world?"

Several days ago, Sergei Ivanov, Russia’s first deputy prime minister, said the situation in Kosovo would cause a domino reaction in the whole region.

“Let’s be logical about this: If NATO and the EU countries recognize Kosovo’s independence, they will have to recognize north Cyprus,” Ivanov said.

If anyone was going to recognise the "TRNC" they would have done so by now Laughing

The fact that you have been ignored for so long and continue to go unrecognised, is because you have been passed by ...

If ever you had a small window of opportunity ... it has been firmly shut Very Happy

Get used to your lonely isolation ... or give us back our country and apologise.

Kosovo's independence is long overdue. It's about time that the Serbian pipedream of 'Yugoslavia' was finally buried.

There's nothing that either Serbia or Russia can do to prevent Kosovo becoming independent,as the E.U. are sending an assistance mission to advise the Kosovar Government.

I'll bet the "TRNC" will be the first to jump on the Kosovo bandwagon... they might even send their leader an ID card and a free holiday villa! Laughing
