The first one is from a lady called Cansever but I can't seem to find much on her...She makes me feel like crying everytime I hear her heart felt singing....I have a funny feeling she might even be Kurdish????

I have a lot of Kurdish singing in Turkish music, but some words are definitely different esp. some endings which I do not recognise.
At least I have a name. Could be from Khorasan/Iran. I will check her out.

Thanks..............I try to listen to all Turkic music. Had a great Asiatic Collection. They range from the Hsing-kiang, Uigur, Siberia and the obvious ones.

tis is another new thing I am discovering about myself Deniz....I never used to listen to Turkish music but this earthy stuff is soul moving stuff and I love all aspects of Turkic folk music now.

I loved it but I do like the ones that sound as if they are sitting by a fire in the Ottoman days singing from the heart......I don't know why this seems more authentic to me at the moment.
