I've just been on the Easyjet website to book some flights and couldnt work out why, and how, the prices were increasing and decreasing every 15 minutes or so.
I entered in my dates and my destinations and then pressed go. The price came up at £99. I went back to book it for my partner and I and the price was then £113 and this was in a matter of minutes.
So I then started looking again at dates/prices and just to give me an idea of price I entered in number of people 1, entered in the dates and my destinations.
The date which I was originally looking at was back at £99!
What Easyjet do is charge you extra (per person, same flight) if there is more than one person in the party.
Disgusting! |

| I have noticed the price alterations on a day to day basis, in my experience the weekend seems to be more expensive than during the week for the same flight dates when booking on easyjet... no idea why this would be. |

easyjet and most chartered airlines have a limited number of seats allocated at each price range. They may have say 10 seats at £99, 15 at £113, 20 at £125 etc etc.. Once the allocated seats have been sold the price will continue to go up and up. So if you were looking for 2 seats, and there is only 1 £99 fare left, they will bump you up to the £113 fare.. Best bet to save £14 is to make 2 seperate reservations.. One at £99 then one at £113..
I have tried to explain this to my customers for years and years.. but do you think people ever get it??? NO!!! |

Yep. Plus you never know, they may be chucking in automatic pre-bookable seats so you can sit next to each other, which always cost more. I've programmed travel system software since 95, and to this day fare pricing still confuses the hell out of me at times. Hey, Orok, there may be a good chance you have used my software.
