Sincere Apologies To Everyone,
Over the past months I have forwarded funny pictures and jokes to
friends who I thought shared the same sense of humor.
Unfortunately this wasn't the case and I seem to have upset quite a few
people who have accused me of being sexist and shallow. If you were one
of these people, please accept my humblest apologies.
From now on I will only send emails with a cultural or educational
content such as old monuments, nature and other interesting structures.
Below, you'll find a picture of the Pont Neuf Bridge in Paris.
For those of you who are interested, Pont Neuf is the oldest bridge in
Paris and took 26 years to build. Construction began in 1578 and ended
in 1604. 'Le Pont Neuf' is actually made of 2 independent bridges, one
with seven arches and the other with five arches.
Fascinating.

Sod the apologies mate.
Free speech often involves offending people, that's often the name of the game, particularly humour, to perhaps get people to think a little and to give them a chance to give you a good verbal mauling if they disagree.
So, please, please keep putting up "offensive" posts. I, for one, demand the right to be offended.
No self-censorship please - it's deceitful.

I wonder if a submarine could fit through the main arch. It would probably scrape both side walls. |

I think one of those arches is a sewer drain. |

love the joke - but i don't think that is pont neuf in paris.
it doesn't really matter - its not as if by knowing this, the arches will fall and make the story just seem bare.
