Hi

Have you ever used BUYSELLCYPRUS to sell a property - what are they like?

Do they charge any up front fees or is it a commission like in the UK?

Thanks for your help

Craig

I have never used them. I know people who have, they didn't seem to bothered about selling the house. Maybe someone else has first hand experience.
By the way are they now registered Estate Agents ?
I tried to buy - I tried to sell

I attempted to use BuySell when I was looking to buy and then again when I was looking to sell. They proved to be totally useless on both accounts.

dont bother with them

they take a hefty percentage of the sales price, thats why so many properties on their site are overvalued, cos the seller must up the price to cover the commision he has to pay them

i cant remember how much exactly, i had an old contract somewhere i'll try and find it

they only hook you up with buyers/sellers, they dont actually do anything themselves

I heard they took a lesser percentage, if you agree to use them as sole agents.

At least Buy Sell are not afraid to pay for the advertising their properties!

More than can be said for a lot of other agents who are happy to take a bigger percentage, want you to provide your own photos or take them off another agents website, then sit back a wait for a buyer to find a property purely by accident....

Or, the ones who take the details from another agents site, stick it on theirs and when you contact them to view it - you find out it was either sold months ago, or the price has doubled because the property has been for sale for about 2yrs!

Believe me - I've worked in an estate agents here and I've also come across the 2nd scenario many times whilst looking for property too....

I've always found Buy Sell are quite knowledgeable about their properties - and no, before you ask - I don't work for them Smile

Knowledgeable, that makes me smile. They don't know half the areas of the island. Five miles outside of Polis is a village called Goudi, on the map and a rd sign on the rd, Buy Sell in Polis have never heard of it.
There is only one agent on the island I would trust, he is Cypriot, knows the island and charges 1% less than anyone else.. I will not name him.

Why not name him,is it you?
Potential purchasers are sick of all the skullduggery in Cyprus.Property for sale on websites for ages but never selling, price rises notwithstanding the fact that loads of property remains unsold and a general feeling that no one is to be trusted. With the strength of the euro against the pound I think that the Cyprus property market is in for a seriously bad time.Super island but full of scams .You may still have the Rusians but Brits are starting to see the light! Some may not like us "whitearses" but the property market will miss us . Sad
