Honestly, ladies and gents...
I've only been there twice and I can't believe it!!!
For starters, this is definately a whole new different country!!!
Nothing to do with Cyprus as I thought I knew it...

| I agree with you guys about Ayia Napa and is really sad. I dont think that Ayia Napa gives so many money because tha quality of the tourists is not so good and the majority are teenagers or people who just want to have fun and drink a lot of beers. I think other places give money to Cyprus like Paphos for example. |

Let me support my "argument"...

There are VERY few Cypriots and of two kinds... working their business and working their way to score (in a dreadful way IMO) 95% of the people are tourists of which only 5% of some quality. The rest are beer-headed-teens.

The wonderful Cypriot tradition and culture is just missing. It reminds me of a bad-taste combination of Ibiza-Ios-London-Myconos-Liverpool-New Orleans city.

Ethos and Ethics are absolutely unknown words/meanings to most. It is sad to see that when people are on vacations, away from motherland, are transformed into sexo-drunk maniacs…
Least to say is, “who am I to judge them” and it seems that everyone’s having great time (myself included), so don’t take my post as a moral alarm… Just an observation of my two visits there… |

Napa is great!
I mean put it this way, it is really the only part of the island that you can go and really let your hair down. There is only so much I can take of going to "local" clubs where people just stand there looking around, worrying about how they look, what other people are saying, etc......
Sure it is different from the rest of the towns, but imo Cyprus NEEDS Ayia Napa. People do not go there to "experience cyprus". We go there to have fun and mischief.
Personally I can not wait for the season to start!!!!!!!!!!! |

I agree! I love Ayia Napa and we make sure that we go and stay down there at least once every summer!
Everyone knows what sort of tourists go there so if you don't like it go to Paphos!!!
I enjoy going out in Limassol as well but you have the problem of the music getting turned off every 5 minutes (after midnight) and believe me that really can ruin a good night out. |

LOL! Yep...that sounds like Limassol!! Still I have to admit that lately it has not been happening that much. Maybe I am just used to it now
Either ways, I hate it when I am talking / shouting to someone in a club and the music cuts, whilst you are still shouting.
Severely embarrasing! |
