I mean If you compare him with some other party leaders like EDEK DIKO NO etc I think this man is wiser. He was the one who was consistently pusrsuing the Cyprus direction into the EU. What were the rest doing?
He managed to improve the Anan plan to the vesrion 3 when Clerides was in power and then suddenly Papadopoulos with his weak negotiation practices and negligence,he managed to deliver the vesrion 5 which it was much worst.
After their campaign to reject the UN plan what are they proposing instead. Just fake words! Where are we going? Nowhere ! EASY politics for weak leaders. |

The only party with a clear pro solution vision regarding the Cyprus problem is EDI. They get my vote. I have lost all respect for AKEL from the moment they joined forces with the most reactionary and rejectionist forces in Cyprus.
The coalition parties were very unfair to Anastasiades as they quoted him completely out of context regarding the green line. In fact, this government shows latent fascism when addressing minority opinions. Remember, nazism also had popular support in Germany and Italy. The masses can get really fanatical when led by "certain" people with ethnarc aspirations. |

hey soto i just found sth
| Quote: |
i hope you understand the fundamental difference between what you posted, and what anastasiadis said.
not to mention that it is once again a big fat lie to argue that anastasiadis said.
| Quote: |
| Yesterday he said that the borders of RoC are at the green line. |
unless my knowledge of the greek language fails me, there is a difference between :
the borders of RoC are the green line
with
papadopoulos wants to be a president of a republic whose borders are the green line.
do you understand the chaotic difference when the first part of the sentence is missing?
i am not saying that what he said is true, or that i necessarily agree with it. but it is a typical mass media propaganda of the (excuse me of saying that) cold war cyprus climate, to turn a personal attack on the president to an attack of the republic (we are talking about gc kemalism). at least pap realised that it was a personal attack and not an attack against the republic. but the rest of the gang...
and if that was just haravgi... well i wouldnt be surprised. but its a number of them(media and politicians), and with their out-of-control situation they are now... they are breeding nationalism and they dont even realise it. |

| cypezokyli I posted the quote I found. Can you post exactly what he said? Because I think the "papadopoulos wants to be a president of a republic whose borders are the green line" is not accurate or complete either. |

just found it sotos
kype 14 dec 12:49
| Quote: |
look now at the announcement of DIKO
kype 17:45
| Quote: |
| "Πρόκειται για πράξη εθελούσιας εκχώρησης στην Τουρκία του κατεχόμενου από τα τουρκικά στρατεύματα τμήματος της Κυπριακής Δημοκρατίας" |
ok. now one can understand that anyway he wants...
one can isolate the last part and say : he just admitted that the borders of the current RoC are on the green line...stupid thing to say
adding the first part it turns into that being our target of being on the precidency of the current RoC whose borders are the green line.
reading it in greek, it was a stupid formulation from anastasiadis. i have to apologise.
BUT
one doesnt need to be a genius to understand what he said,
and above all , that he willingly gives away to turkey our occupied by the turkish army land, is way far from what he said...
you have to admit that what he said was twisted, or selectively isolated
god knows what more we ll listen to till may |

cypezokyli, I think what he said doesn't allow for different interpretations. He clearly said that the the borders of RoC are until the green line. He didn't say "papadopoulos wants to be a president of a republic whose borders are the green line.".
The question is why he made such a statement. Is he just stupid with an IQ less than the IQ of an average person. (because no Greek Cypriot with an above average IQ would make such statement to the media unintentionally), or was the statement made intentionally?
Personally I believe it is the second. He clearly doesn't care about what Greek Cypriots think about him. He doesn't care to represent Greek Cypriots. He clearly serves the interests of some others, and this is just another proof because this is not the first time he is acting "stupidly". |

| Thanks cypezokyli. I was trying to find it some days ago and could not! But you have to admit that what was not included in the quote I gave didn't change the meaning of what Anastasides said... |

| I will vote for the Greens as I am sick of voting DiSY, and in a way I feel they betrayed my national feelings. The greens are the only politically clean party, nobody can deny it. Furthermore they are very active in the parliament, so why not give them the chance to be stronger? |
