This points to an ongoing robust economy" said G Flaig.
For its monthly survey, ifo polls around 7,000 companies about their assessment of current business and their expectations for the next six months. |

This index gives estimates on Companies expectations on future economic results . The higher the index the higher the confidence among companies on future financial results.

The BCI survey also covers matters of importance to the business sector, including:
Monthly inflation figures and interest rates
Performance and expectations on sales figures and foreign investment

For sure the job market will reflect this! |

the last years the big german companies all showed profits while they were laying off people.
so i am not sure what a business man means when he sais : i am confident.

The index is just an index based on the sample selected. I does not represent all the companies of course. It is like the share index ; when goes up does not mean that all shares have moved up!
When a businessman is confident means that he is more likely to employ more staff , create more jobs , invest etc. |
