That is a very nice idea efe and I don't believe that it is something unattainable. Call me naive, but I feel that's the advantage the EU has over the US. Maybe there are ulterior motives but the EU seems to have more pacifistic ideas in terms of foreign policy and treatment of other countries.

Of course, everybody would need to get act their act together for this dream to become a reality.

In terms of GCs they only thing they would need to do i make sure they do not go back to pre-74 treatment of TCs. Of course I don't think there is a problem of that occuring.

As far as TCs and Turkey I don't know what to say. Now as for the Hellenic Republic? What can I say? How much more can they bend over to Turkey?

Hmm, just visit Hagia Sophia, as the museum it has become today, or pray in it as the Christian sacred place it once was? Does your dream include having the Hagia Sophia returned to the Orthodox Christians?

Alex you are splitting hairs, if that eutopia is achieved it will not matter.

Why not be more innovative than this Alex. How about Hagia Sophia becoming a universal place of worship, with one wing as an Orthodox cathedral and the other as the mosque it is today? As for Hagia Sophia being a 'museum', have you been to Kykkos recently? It's hardly an uplifting religious experience is it.

Even though I am Orthodox, whenever I am in Cyprus I always make a point of visiting the Selimiye mosque (St. Sophia) in Lefkosia. Personally I am as happy to pray in a mosque as in a church, so why be pedantic about it? Attitudes like this will only lead us down the Jerusalem route.
