Every time you open your mouth you put your foot in it... one, it's unnecessary to call them 'gypsy peasants' (and also ethnically incorrect to label them as gypsies). You also fail to understand the mentality of people in both England and France... love foreigners? To an extent, we welcome foreigners, but 60,000 en masse... that would be pushing the tolerance of any country, particularly since they would arrive without any jobs, source of support, accommodation etc. etc. etc.

Think before you type Nick, it would save us all a lot of time.

CannedMoose, in England they pay 80% tax on fuel, the government has tons of money and would more than easily be able to accomodate these settlers with state benefit. If it works for the pakistani community why not them.

You seem to be very clued up on the Cyprus issue, so let's hear your ideas instead of constantly shooting down mine.

Many thanks,
P.S
Are you a maronite Cypriot getting involved with issues that don't concern you?

Did Tr ever respected international laws when it comes to Cy problem? No.
Did Tr ever respected the human rights of the Gcs? No.
Did Tr ever respected any UN resolution regarding Cy? No.
...then why should she be trusted?

You forgot to mention Tc community, even Tcs don't accept them.

Your statement was antagonistic and racist, whatever Tr has done in the past will one day come back and bite her on the arse and she will be required to do the right thing but you just insulted all turks, very uncalled for.
I respect all opinions but without the hate, tantrums and racism that seems to crop up everytime someone gets pissed off .

The people of turkey are human beings like you and me, no one is better than the other hence because there is a past there we should look to heal and make amends not alienate each other even more.

I am a tc and would have said the same if you took pot shots at greeks, brits, armenians etc. there is NO room whatsoever for antagonism and racism in todays societies.

The tc is not fond of them but we do not hate them or wish them any ill's whatsoever.

Maybe we should listen Erbakan.

Believe what ever you want. For me the settlers who were imported from the deapths of Anatolia, are parasites in Cy. They don't belong here, they should go back to were they came from, there they are not considered parasites.
I saw how they live...they don't even know the use of the toilet... they sleep in a bedroom and at the next bedroom they have their cows...! Would you like to have such neighbors? I wouldn't, Cyprus is not for them.
If they have so many in Tr and they want ot export them, why don't they send them to Bangladesh, Gambia, Azerbaijan etc?

First, the government does not have tons of money, we have a decrepid national health system, an underfunded education system, a chronic shortage of housing etc. etc. etc. Your suggestion is bizarre beyond belief, you really expect British taxpayers to pay for your crazy population relocation scheme? Idiotic...

As for your comment about the Pakistani community sponging on benefits... a sweeping generalisation, a pseudo-racist one and in most instances incorrect.

As for my ideas on the Cyprus problem, I've forwarded them on this forum previously and don't see the need to revisit them for your benefit... you are perfectly able to go back through the threads and find them.

As for events in Cyprus not being my concern... that just shows what an ill-informed and arrogant perspective on this. I'm not a maronite, nor a latin, nor a TC, nor a GC... in fact, I'm not Cypriot full-stop. However, I am married to a GC, my family live in Cyprus, and in a few years time so will I; so I have as much right as anyone to discuss these issues and shoot down proposals that are fantastical, based on faulty logic and obviously the product of a distinct lack of consideration... which pretty much describes your recent raft of suggestions.
