The "equal partners" talk targets those that refuse to accept the only feasible solution to our problem, that is, BBF between two politically equal communities and who, by insisting on a desirable but not feasible so called better solution, simply work for total destruction of Cyprus.
You might also like to know Talisker, that the Ministry of Education, at the beginning of every school year, proposes a target that all schools should try to reach. Last year and this year the target is "Καλλιέργεια κουλτούρας ειρηνικής συμβίωσης, αμοιβαίου σεβασμού και συνεργασίας Ελληνοκυπρίων και Τουρκοκυπρίων με στόχο την απαλλαγή από την κατοχή και την επανένωση της πατρίδας και του λαού μας" which roughly translated says "The cultivation of a culture for the peaceful coexistence, mutual respect and cooperation between Greek and Turkish Cypriots, with the aim of ending the occupation and reunification of our country and our people".
Needless to say, there is a political message attached to the visits tomorrow and we are not going there just for a cup of coffee.
My problem with your method of reporting on these visits is the inclusion of your own political beliefs regarding the Cyprob solution. Why not report the visits objectively, rather than derailing the facts with this additional subjective information? After all, the Ministry of Education statement would, I'd imagine, be acceptable to all, but doesn't include any information on how a solution will come about, so why do we get your oft-stated opinion on this?
