Remember the 259 million for the north if a solution was agreed. I think if you take 100 million of that money and allocate it to TC's who open up a business in the north, will open up work for other TC's. TC's with the proper help can snowball 1 business to another. The hate thats been around for decades has been around because TC's worked for GC's back then and even now. Everyone hates their boss. This doesn't mean any GC who is looking to open up a business in the north should be turned away, I'm saying TC's should get extra help for a 10 year period. It'll give them a chance to economically catch up to the GC's and have a united community in the very near future. But dont say that GCs cant have businesses in the north because thats the Dektash mindset. The 259 million is for TC's only. Everyone else is on their own for a 10 year time.
But also after they give our property back.

The report by the panel of eight international law authorities from eight different countries convened by the Committee for a European Solution for Cyprus provides a detailed list of the unacceptable provisions of the Annan Plan that are so contemptuous of international law, human rights and the EU acquis.

The panel report offers instead a workable alternative to the Annan Plan.

The report (published in full on pages 14-15) proposes that a settlement must be worked out by a Constitutional Commission of Cypriots aimed at amending the existing 1960 Constitution.

The sole objective will be to enable the Cypriots themselves to agree on a settlement that complies fully with basic principles listed above.

The report by a panel of law experts must now be taken up and used by the government, and all those anxious for a just and lasting settlement, as the Bible, or the Koran, for a Cyprus settlement as it lays down the strict parameters within which such a settlement must be sought, and which cannot be violated under any circumstances in a blatant attempt to legitimise Turkey's war crimes and other international law and human rights violations in connection with its continuing occupation of north Cyprus.

Anyone disagreeing with the experts report should be required to spell out why. What can they say? Admit that respect for international law and human rights, not to mention the judgements of the Human Rights Court are hollow slogans that mean nothing?

Harry, your idea is interesting. But it should be made certain that those millions will not be used to exploit the GC properties or support the pseudo state.

Beyond that I agree that TCs doing legitimate business should be supported.

Personally they can do whatever they want with the money, after they sign an agreement. The agreement, whatever it will entail, wouldn't come into effect till theres a signature on our property rights to be handed back. During the transitional period of receiving our properties, how will they exploit them. They can't, because the first time they try to do this, the EU will have a close watch on this to make sure all goes smooth. So you will have your property back before Turkey joins the EU. The transitional period is more than enough years before Turkey gets in the EU.
No matter how they change their words this time, the process can't fail.

And embargoes wouldn't be lifted till every GC gets their property back. Till then they can only sell their goods through us or the way their trading right now, which is very minimal. Let them have thier choice. Not because we're power mongers the way they claim that we are, its the only way I see it being fare.

Firstly we are not trading through yourselves being the "RoC" we dont trust you will handle our goods correctly so no companies have attempted to trade abroad out of your ports. We are still trading through Famagusta and Ercan ports.
Secondly can you please clarify how you would propose to deal with handing back of disputed property from the current occupant to the GCs, how would you do it??there are many different situations and each case has its own inherent problems, some can be resolves easily but some will take longer. Do you see compensation for used GC property as a possible solution?

Hey Viewpoint, anything someone tries to pitch in to this problem, your the first one to shoot it down. You must be a negative, unconstructive person to be around. I might be talking to Rauf for all I know. I'll learn not to answer back to your posts however this problem fares out. Good luck whatever happens

Harry why do you have problems dealing with my viewpoint, isnt it allowed? or does it make you so uncomfortable that you have to refrain from responding. If you are confident that negotiations will recommence and they will find a solution then you should not be offended or upset with someone where reality has kicked home and is more pesimistic than optimistic like yourself.

Come on guys, dont think you are being unfair here, I could brand you 2 as Enosis secret agents... lets get real here.
Im voicing my opinions like everyone else, the fact that you feel uncomfortable should really make you question what you are saying and accept that the coin is double sided.
