tooooo small to have 2 states.

two presidents two vise presidenst 2 of everything.

we need a federated state with strong central govenrment with a foreign (eu structure) to have the upper hand in the critical dicission making process, so one ehtnic community does not impose on another weaker community.

The EU does now provide the equilibrium for that

apologise about the spelling ..i do not know how to activate the spell checker on this site. if someone could give me hint

i am leaving 2 images for the people that have forgotten, these things
sadly we dont live in an ideal world where everyone sees eachother as
human. it has been proven we cant live together, over and over again.
being a 'gc' i can only say things that the gcs have suffered and things that i have seen. over the years heaps of our soldiers have been shot for crossing the green line.. yet not one turkish soldier has  ...........

our churches have been used as barns, and our sacred pictures stolen..
THEY EVEN HAD THE NERVE to draw the turkish flags on our mountains so we can see them everyday yet we "the evil gcs" have kept the mosks untouched and have respected there stuff...

over time people forget things ........ i just hope we never mix as that will be the end of the cypriot way of lifa that i know and love

feel free to comment

ausbrocher .. i strongly advice you to read sevgul uludags book: ta streidia pou ehasan ta margaritaria tous. i am saying this to you before you get photos from tcs we killed and this thread is filled with pictures of dead people.

being a 'gc' i can only say things that the gcs have suffered and things that i have seen. over the years heaps of our soldiers have been shot for crossing the green line.. yet not one turkish soldier has Wink ...........

firstly there appear to have been turkish soldiers died on the green line that never reached our news. tcs could inform you on that.
second, i dont agree with keeling nobody, but as you said, they crossed the green line. in a seace fire situation you are not supposed to cross the line. none of them was shot, in our side.

our churches have been used as barns, and our sacred pictures stolen..
THEY EVEN HAD THE NERVE to draw the turkish flags on our mountains so we can see them everyday yet we "the evil gcs" have kept the mosks untouched and have respected there stuff...

how many tcs did you meet after 2000?
i asked you before..

ausbroker, if we do what you say this would mean that those that did those bad things in the pictures that you shown have won. This is what you want?

ausbroker: a couple of things.

1. Its not the actual real "turkish cypriots" that are the problem, its the mainland turkish government and illegal persons they have bought in which are stalling the settlement. Greek Cypriots and Turkish Cypriots used to live together without problems as we all know until the "malakies" which occured back in '74.

2. Building a wall isnt gonna solve the problem, rather it will just add fuel to the fire. Restricting any person from the south visiting the north, and vice versa will just p*ss them off even more, and would no doubt cause further problems and part the 2 communities even further.

For example: Say I came to stay at your house one day and I enjoyed the bedroom I was in so much that I wanted to stay there forever. Despite your efforts I wouldnt leave and decided to partition off the house so you couldnt use that part again, how would you feel? Pretty p*ssed off I assume? No difference here, people have left not only their houses whether it is in the north or the south, but they have left their lives and memories as well, now completely removing what opportunity there is for them to visit or even possible resolve would be wrong, and would lead to even greater problems.

ok as i said before they were the viewpoints that i have seen as a gc.
i dont know what happened on the tc side,i have no idea, but if someone
can clear it up for me i am willing to listen.

i have also met tcs after 2000
i was actually in the north in 2004 where i went to my parents village and then we made the pilgramage to apostolos andreas and this is what i saw

1.the churches in my dads village were destroyed.
2. was the sign as soon as i crossed the border saying something like IT FEELS SO GOOD TO BE A TURK
3. on the way to apostolos andreas we stopped at the picnic spot just before you get there, and we sat to eat.a tc came up to us and asked for 2 pounds
for us to use the tables  in a public park?? she then pointed at the tables that had 2pounds written on them. we left.....
4. when we got there "apostolos andreas" i was shocked to find that they had a market built around our holyiest of churches and in my eyes a sign of extreme dissrespect.
5.when we went downstairs to get some holy water there were bottles
there obviously to fill the water up with and take them home. we looked around and there was noone there so we filled one up and went to take it home. when we got to the top a young turkish boy came asking for money

6.the final straw was when we went to use the toilets at apostolos andreas, and there was even a tc there asking for money

look i could go on all day but i wont

and as for reading the book, I KNOW WHAT WE DID TO THE TCS BEFORE THE WAR, and i am sorry for what happened to them. they had there turn to do it back to us and that happened in 74 and we deserved it in a way too. so i could say thats an eye for an eye. but then my question is this,
why do things like Tassos isaac happen in a more modern era?
simple because we hate eachother and nothing can take that tensio8n away.

ALSO CAN ANY TC CONFIRM THAT ANY OF YOUR SOLDIERS WHER SHOT BY GCS ON THE GREEN LINE?

two comments:
1. dont we have markets outside our churches ??
2. concerning soldiers killed on the green line i found that in a german book : olliver wolleh : die teiliung überwinden - in case you are interested. more details , i dont have, as according to the book, this never came across the border to our press.

two experiences :
in the first time i went to the north, i also caried my fears and conservations. as i said people we also carried our food in order not to give them money. i still cannot believe that we did that. anyway when we parked our car at the side of the road to eat our food, a tc woman saw us, and the plates of our car and realised that we were gcs. she invited us to her house, offered lemonade and coffee. she and her husband came from limassol, and we communicated in the gc dialect. in my grandfathers house lives an old grandma from tukey. i went there to meet the invador and all i saw was an 80year old woman who couldnt even stand on her feet, and she the neighbours took care of her. i tried to be angry with her, but it was kind of difficult.
the second time i went to the north was to visit a tc - who was a friend of a friend. he drove us to kerynia, karmi, we sang cypriot and brekovic songs, and enjoyed our raki on the kyrenia port. on that little nice ship-bar.

its selective observation ausbrocher. we both select what we consider important. you already believed before crossing the border that we hate each other, and just bc you had to pay a couple of pounds he found an evidence to support an opinion you already had.
the same works with me, on the opposite way, though.

with the tassos isaac story. firstly this story is 10 years old. second, with so much hate why didnt we have a new tassos issaac incident after the borders opened? i mean - as you repeatedly say - there is so much hate!! lastly, these were the wolves, not the tc community.

arent you tired of repeating the same arguments?

question to piratis : does it worry you that more and more gcs seem to be asking partition?
it seems that turkey is achieving its targets... it managed to convince us that we cannot live together... i wander whose fault it is   the media? the education? the politicians ?

i ll go for the americans. they are usually to be blamed, why not for this too?
what to you people think?
