Simon, I figured out Perastikos, he's going by the "if we can't beat them, join them" technique. And hes willing to degrade his own people for brownie points. That doesn't sound like a coward to you? Question is, is whats in it for him?, except to be socially accepted by TC's. Thats cool, but he should do it with dignity, not embarrasment to his own people. But to each, his own. I hope he just talks like a woman on this site and not in front of his own people, because I never see the shit stain ever coming off his nose.

I totally agree with you growuptcs.

Yes it does, and I hope there are no others (or at least very, very few) like him.

As Lala said, if Perastikosas was in charge, we would get a solution very quickly. The problem being it would be a solution that would be hated, and would eventually lead to war anyway - hence IT WOULD NOT BE A SOLUTION. It is only a solution if the majority GCs want it - otherwise, don't count on peace to last forever.

simon and growup,

would you like to give me a small comment concerning greek FP towards turkey, especially since paggalos was removed (that is after the ocalan episode). bc the greeks appear to me really cowards.
and the word is around that mistotakis daughter is heading for the the position of Minster of foreign affairs.

just out of curiosity, how would you describe greek foreign policy the last 6-7 years?

coward?
or grown up?

realistic
or, if you cant beat them join them?

bc, i have the feeling that those greeks need to get more patriotic lately.

cypezokyli, I agree with you. I think they have been cowards.

I mean for a start, Turkey repeatedly threaten a casus beli towards Greece, for LEGALLY using their waters and airspace according to international law. Greece seem to be very frightened at saying the wrong thing and their stance appears weak, when confronted with USA pressure.

For example, Greece wanted to join in the enterprise of deveoping the Eurofighter. Various EU countries, including Britain was involved, and Britain has ordered 232 of the planes. However, because of USA pressure (from Turkey complaining to them, it is rumoured) Greece pulled out of the project. I think they all need to get tough. We are not just the USA's bitches and never will be.

Then you said:

So does that make you a coward?  I always suspected so.

when i said cowards, it was meant to be ironic....considering the number of war-mongers in this forum

i dont use the words like coward and brave when the enemy is not around.
thats a usual tactict of patriots

Well, that wasn't exactly clear was it. Further, aren't the Turkish government war-mongers then considering their actions and constant threats. All I am saying is the Greek government should be a little more forthright in their actions. I'm not saying they should go to war with anyone.

i dont use the words like coward and brave when the enemy is not around.

If talks completely break down, then they become an enemy. Why? Because they are denying 200,000 GCs the right to go home. I would think that even the most anti-war person could accept this.

if pap and talat meet - which i dont really see in the near future, and the negotiations broke down I personally wouldnt see birkrisli, sadik, vp, zan etc as my enemy.

would you?

I would see the TRNC as the enemy. Naming individuals is ridiculous.
