"Inda pou kamnei?" is "How are you" in Cypriot Greek

OR

"Pou einai to maheri?" is "Where is the knife" in Greek, and your answer would be "Ekei"--"over there"

"Pou ein ton masheri?" is "Where is the knife" in Cypriot Greek and your answer would be "jame"--"over there"

?

Niyaz, ta fwta sou parakalw

So i had mate and one day in uni he said something like ''Oi Koumpare inda pou laleis?Lalw sou en eshei lathos''

I freaked out.I didnt understand a word and i started laughing and he started laughing as well bsc i was laughing non stop for 2 minutes. We were a spectacle.

So would that mean??? ''No man what are you saying?.It is perfect''???
He had explained but i forgot.Anyway everytime i think of the Greek Cypriot dialect i remember this phrase always 8)

I thought Kalamaras is not derogatory. But maybe you say it in a derogatory way  Anyhow most mainlanders dont actually care.I dont anyway.

Actually nowhere in Greece do they speak so differently from the mainlanders. In Rhodes for example there is a similarity with the Cypriot dialect but i actually understand a Rhodian 100%.Sometimes if a Cypriot talks to fast i miss a few words here and there.
Kasos maybe is closer to the Cypriot dialect.

But maybe you are confusing the accent in Rhodes ,Kasos,Kastelorizo with the Cypriot accent. The accents are almost the same BUT the Cypriot dialect has words that are not intelligible to the Dodekanese.

I'm a Cypriot and a Greek in that order .My allegiance is to my birth country first , my adopted country second , and subsequently to Europe America and the West of which Greece is part of.
I understand the concept of Hellenism but I also respect the rights of the T/Cs not to participate in a national anthem belonging to a foreign country.
Cyprus will prosper and will find the ultimate solution only if our focus is directed towards the Cypriot identity , and the Greek National anthem along with the Greek flag should not be a stumbling block to our progress.

"we are going to have to get along with them."

What does this tell us about how the senile old fool sees us TCs?

It's not "we want to" but it's "we are going to have to"

Thanks but no thanks, we don't want to live with people who would just tolerate us because they have no other choice.
