Too many English in Paphos for the place to be truly cultured.

Besides Ayia Napa has a Sea-Monster, a Waterpark and holds the Guinness World Record for the longest chain of syrtaki dancers...

oooh you're right mate... bleeding 'ell why hasn't Ayia Napa been put forward?

AN is a village. Better propose it as European Village of Culture. :D

Wow dude, that long ey?
The town grew 60% in 10 years.
Nothing to marvel over, but Nic and Lim are just bigger versions of the same thing.
Smaller but a nicer tourist oriented scenario with great historical places of interest too.

Well the other thing about the last time was in Paphos (at least the central touristy/harbour area anyway), you could get CY coffees for two and still have change from a selleenee.

Mind you did stop off for a break a couple of years ago on some kind of one-way system and had some very nice just squeezed orange juices from a nice chap in a bar for less than a couple of euro.
