How about this soyer:
63% Recognized Republic of Cyprus, EU member
and
37% Unrecognized pseudo state of 3rd world standards on illegally occupied territory controlled illegally by Turks
Thats the only kind of partition you can have, and thats only for as long as you have the military power to enforce such illegality. |

We will leave it then.
Why would we sign off 30% of our lands to you? So you can give us just 7% back, and then be allowed to use the territory you stole from us in order to compete against us?
Sorry but we will pass your "offer". We will keep the one and only recognized republic on this island just for ourselves and continue to progress, and you can rot in the pseudostate until you realize that what you can have is only your fair share and nothing more on our loss. |

You are absolutely right considering UK also in EU 63% in Europe now you take 7% more from TRNC and thats your lot. |

Yes but unfortunately you don't have a alternative, why you thing II. HRISOSTOMOS make a public announcement. This is final proposal if G/C official show stubbornness ones again recognition of TRNC unavoidable. |

you guys should talk about enclaves, Turkish enclaves in the south and Greek enclaves in the north. cutting up the island will displace more people, moving "the line" back and forth, unless there is a way for the (Turkish and Greek) displaced to have, at least for some, their communities back, there will be the endless sense that Justice has not been served, along with its military dimension which will remain.
If compromise means Varosha opens and Girne remains, so be it, but we must think of the island first and in this we must as its citizens remain above our Greek or Turkish identities, united as Human beings.
what is wrong with a Bicommunal State that is Bizonal? why can't each zone have as parts satellite territories? |

Keep dreaming.
The only kind of partition that you can have is the one you can enforce by military power, which is the one you got now. If you are happy with what you have now, then go on and continue to illegally occupy then north part of Republic of Cyprus for as long as it will be possible for you. But don't hope you will get recognition or anything of that sort. You can't have a recognized "Turkish Republic" on land which is owned by 80% by Greek Cypriots.
Unless of course you can make a partition proposal that we can accept - and the only partition proposal that has potential to be accepted by GCs is 82% - 18%. |

Two National Assemblies, equal in their Rights as Jurisdiction, each with territories where they provide a Service for its majority, through self representation, first for having the capacity to sustain themselves, and with a sense of respect for inclusiveness, able to serve others with the recognition of many minorities, providing for their special needs as well.
in such an environment, a State is called for which Unites us as this island's dwellers, its People, and its Stewards, which is strong, counterbalancing the bias of its demographics to set Universal Standards, now and in the future, to have the capacity to represent as one People, the People, as Cypriots, to defend us as Sovereign in our choices and our rights, and to defend our Individual Rights, with Rights, within a Community.

go ahead, divide the island into plots, make the deal somewhere between 18-30%, but please, don't do it because its good for "Turks" or "Greeks", do it because it makes all our lives better; more mobility, more expression and most important, more association. |
