A fortune teller had told him that the "European Solution" that he dreams was on the way would come in 3 whiles.

Therefor he waits for that 3 whiles. The fortune teller had also ensured Tassos that his dream about a "European Solution" would certainly come true. In 3 whiles though...

why do you not favor a european solution based on a fedeal model such as belgium or similar?is it that it will not favor the ridiculous gains that annan gave t/c and the turks in annan 5?

Lemme repeat 100th times why I do not favour a "European solution" based on a fedral model of any other country.

Cyprus is not any other country and its peaople is not the people of any other country. Any solution should be based upon Cyprus' own particular circumstances. First of all the "political equality" of two communities should sincerely be acknowledged by GC community and Hellenic world(Particularly by their ruling and leading elites). Then I'm sure majority of TCs would return to their homes with their own will. Though where's that sincerity?

(May be even some GCs that said “yes” would vote “no” this time)

Otherwise it will not be accepted again by GCs.

Turkcyp, I am not sure that any and all improvements amount to "zero sum games" ... that either they favor the one side and alienate the other, or vice verca.

The biggest area in which the Plan can be improved for the Turkish Cypriots, concerns the raising of the standard of living in the north to the same level as the south. The Annan Plan, in my opinion, does not in its current form guarantee this convergence - and this extends beyond mere economic issues, since the Annan Plan also fails to guarantee that the Turkish Cypriot constituent state will be modern and European in its overall philosophy. Furthermore, the Annan Plan has no implementation mechanisms for the deprature of illegal workers. Finally, the way the Plan currently is Greek Cypriotw will end up owning all of the south and a substantial proportion of the north's property, whereas Turkish Cypriots will be confined to the northern constituent state only.

So you see, there are many possible improvements from a TC point of view, none of which would alienate the Greek Cypriots.

Have a great Sunday, my friend.

I think his strategy is as follows.

There are something like 32 stages Turkey has to go through to reach accession to EU. At the start and ens of each of these the memebers states (including Cyrpus) can veto the entry process.
TP thinks that he can extract a concession at each of these 64 'veto points' from Turkey with regards to Cyprus - ending up with his maximal aims over time in a 'salami slice' style strategy. As such the last thing he wants then is a comprehensive agreed settlement now. That would remove his 64 chances to 'force / blackmail' turkey into consessions over Cyprus.
