The assumption is that seperate majorities will be needed for laws to pass so yes, it is viable.

The above split would make little difference to final decisions. If anything it would foster alliances and make our democratic institutions more dynamic and encourage political parties to encompass GC's and TC's and to campaign on common interests. Its quite clear that you do not wish Cyprus to develop in any meanigful way and you want to perpertuate the division.

What alliance will establish 9 TC senators with 3 GC senators in TCCS while there are more influential 35 GC senators on other side ready to label 3 GC senators of TCCS as traitors if they don't serve their interests. You are kidding me or what?

Seperate majority of TCCS = 3 GC Senators +2 TC Senators ------- Excellent and even brilliant!

Insan,

Why can't you see beyond the end of your nose?

What is there to say that all 9 TC would not vote together anyway? How would senators be affiliated in TC and GC state? You think in a state of law, which is what we are aiming for, there is room to brand people as traitors? I feel very saddened that you always look at the NEGATIVES when anything concerns the GC's. This is why, even in your 'political equality' utopia, things will never work, because any law that may be deemed to favour GC's would not be passed by TC senators, and likewise any law that deems to favour TC's would not be passed by GC senators as retaliation. SO what you will have is COMPLETE deadlock with all decisions having to be arbitrated by some foreign judges. So what you will effectively have is a each state lower house running themselves with a deadlocked central government. So effectively you have your disguised partition!
