Ok in every thread there is a discussion about the BBF model. I was hoping to get a better understanding of what TCs think exactly of this model, because I am sure you all have a different opinion.

In light of this I also started doing some research to see what the real historical issue is behind bizonality:

The idea of a bizonal federation was invoked in the 1977 "High Level Agreement" between Denkatsh and Makarios

However this is not exactly the case. From reading the I understood how the opinions of many TCs are formed about this topic - from misinformed facts. What happened in 1977 was that bizonality was discussed but never really agreed to because of the parties different respect to the matter:

So if Denctash accepted the above, then yes this is what was agreed to be a bizonal arrangement. He, of course, did not. He did however manage to contradict himself. WHen asked if he accepts the right to property Denctash said Accepted but when asked if refugees will get to return he said "In no event will all refugees be allowed to return".

What does everyone think about bizonality?

Cyprus is one and only one and indivisible. It belongs equally to all its people, the Cypriots. There is only one people in Cyprus, the Cypriots. Among others, there are Greek speaking Cypriots and Turkish speaking Cypriots. There is no Turkish and no Greek Cyprus. Those who do not feel Cypriots and instead they claim to be Greeks or Greekcypriots or Turks or Turkishcypriots can as well live the country because this country belongs only to the Cypriots.
Bi-communals, Bi-sexuals, bi-zonals and bi-partionists must all go to live either in Greece or in Turkey or in the UK or in the U.S.

There is no reason why we should like BBF.

BBF can be our maximum compromise, but the other side needs to make compromises of an equal magnitude in order for this to be achieved.

There are many types of federation, and the one that should be included should be a strong one.

Also the federal state of the TCs should be one very close to their percentage (18%).

In general nobody should come out worst off from the 1960 agreements. An equal amount of give/take can take place to transform 1960 agreements to BBF.

The BBF is NOT a known model.Everybody can translate it anyway he likes. If in practice it will mean restrictions better forget it.What was agreed 30 years ago is not valid today.
The soonest the people and the politicians from both sides realise that the soonest we will have a solution. Otherwise we will be discusing for another million years
