Which troops? The EU has 27 member states can you imagine the red tape to buy a toilet roll let alone take miltary action with a miltary force they do not have.

Well thats whats being discussed my boy for the security aspect and there is actually a meeting in stausburg on the 6 and 7th of april to discuss this matter.it was in politis yesterday.there will be a turkish delegation there as well.

I want to thank those who think my idea is - generally speaking - a good one. I know that the language issue is the major one of disagreement here, but as I said earlier: this is only a suggestion. One thing I do know: Cyprus really is too small an island to be a federation. The people have to live together, and that is - I believe - the best incentive to carve out a truly Cypriot identity with no interference from other countries.
Independence needs to be respected from all sides.

Viewpoint, The EU military and law enforcement contingents would have full authority to (a) defend the island and (b) enforce the laws of the Republic until a purely Cypriot law enforcement body WHICH ENJOYS THE PEOPLE'S CONFIDENCE can take over. No stupid rules of engagemet or restrictions, but both would be subject to Cypriot law.

What about the "gc's" security? How will their safety be protected? After all it was thousands of them that were killed in the Jurkish Piss Operation. Where are their life-belts?

They can have the EU or Greece or the UN....if we are allowed a choice then surely they should be allowed one to.
