My proposal for the mechanincs of the property board.

For any disputed property, North or South

We roll a die.

1-2 - TC wins (be that TC in a GC property or TC claiming back property in South)

3-6 - GC wins (be that returning GC to land in North or GC refugess living in TC property in the South)

Certainly simple and would keep costs of a property board to a minimum. Quick and simple and appealing to the gambling Cypriot spirit maybe?

you know i think thats the best proposal to date.

however i accept under the condition that all GCs have the right to return to their homes that are occupied by settlers of any sort.

Ah yes, but TCs are 18% of Cypriots, not 33%, so what you propose is not fair! I suggest a ten-faced die, 1-2 TC keeps it, 3-10 GC keeps it.

Yep that was the intent. Any GC with a title deed to property in the North can 'take the role' - regardless of who, if anyone is in that property currently. If they roll 3-6 they get it back immediately with no conditions at all. If they roll a 1 or a 2 they lose all rights to the land totaly.

if they lose the property deed though they will be compensated.

and i dont think that settlers should be bark of the agreeent meanting that GCs whose properties are occupied by settlers automatically roll a 6.

It was based on 'TC took 3 times more land that they had in 74' and not on population.

We could base the dice roll on 'unitary GC state with TC minority vs seperate TC and GC recognised states' on the 10 sided die (or even percentile die - too much D&D in my past) if you like

Not so far from the truth. At one time it was suggested to an Ottoman Emperor that Cyprus indeed be given as a homeland for the Jews by his Grand Vizier. Needless to say it never transpired.
