Turkish Settlers - an alternative solution.

I propose this for a solution regarding Turkish settlers.

I define Turkish settlers as mainland Turks who are now living in Cyprus on a permanent basis in GC property.

Under a soltuion they should be allowed to stay and be granted ROC citizenship. However, they should then be encouraged to move to live in Germany permantly and hence GC's can reclaim their properties.

This would reduce their numbers weather it's 30,60, or 90 thousand.

Hence, Turkish settlers get EU membership, something that not even Turkey is guarenteed and GC's get their properties back.

Some people may view this as unethical, but those who dare to say this would be hypocrits if they support the Annan plan, as it's already an unethical solution, but workable given the current situation if there is no other way out.

rings a bell, same plan as encouraging TCs to leave Cyprus during the beginging of the 1960s, somethings never change.

Once a solution is reached, they will be given an ROC passport with a nominal fee and will be expected to go to Germany to settle and find work.

If they are finding it hard they are welcome to come back, but hopefully they should like it and have a better quality of life and will wish to stay in Germany.

They have to go to try out, that's part of the deal. Otherwise, were back to square one.
