The major problem, for me at least, is how we are going to reach to the level where a GC for me is no different than a TC and vice versa. That is the whole Cyprus problem is about. Other than that there is no Cyprus poroblem. When we reach to that level TCs will not be afrai of living as minority under GCs, and GCs would not think TCs as minorities.

I completely agree and it seems like we have a major disagreement with GCs about how we will achieve a truly Cypriot nation. We claim that we have to take it step by step from the realities of today and gradually merge into a Cypriot nation. They claim that we should jump the gun and call ourselves Cypriots today, perfecting knowing that a GC considers a TC differently than a fellow GC.

The solution is to respect the accepted principles of the rule of law, to accept that each and every individual is equal to any other and the rest falls into place. Do you accept these principles?

-mikkie2- I think you still havent grasped certain issues and dont understand TCs mentality very well. If you did you wouldnt ask such a question. If GCs offered TCs the whole island on a plate they would reject it, thinking that there is some hidden agenda to reduce TCs to minority status in their own country. The reason for this is that there is no trust between our communities and we are all unable to secure this in order to move forward. Resolve the trust issue and the rest will follow.

I agree. Trust is the main missing element in Cyprus. That's why we spend some much time talking about protections that might make us look like we're against universal principles like democracy and human rights when in reality, we're trying to make sure we're included in democracy and our human rights are protected.
