Im sorry Turkey let me inform me of a little something something here. The year is 2005. Not 1974. However if your arguments can only make sense by assuming it is still 1974 then that is fine with me. Apparently international law and pretend years are the same.

When the Turkish intervention force was trying to get GCs out of the TC populated area, wasn't the Greek soldiers there??

Yes, there were Greek soldiers in Cyprus in 1967 and in 1974 and some of them fought against the Turkish army in 1974 but I don't think that many GCs consider Greeks as their protectors since everytime Greeks were on the island, they caused nothing but trouble which didn't help for Cyprus.

They try to protect GC.
But well after this year, they are a little weary.
If Turkey act aggresive agains GC, what you will do?
Pls dont tell me, we will fight until die.

If you want to rule your island, you should realy do together.

So really at the end of the day it would depend what kind of land (ie what part of the island) we are getting back. Also for example, nicosia, always had a turkish presence, and part of nicosia was always exclusivley turkish, so perhaps an arrangement on nicosia will also have to come into place.

With your logic in mind and considering that the 35% occupied north possessed before 1974, 70% of the economic resources Cyprus. Then the TC community should be prepared to settle down with less than 18%. Unless you believe that the south is more fertile and has more development potential! :?

Kifeas but that is no solution, if the TCs don't accept you are still helpless, you cannot get what you want before they accept it.So you have to propose something that TCs will accept!

According to gabaston it is the TCs that are helpless. Why don't the TCs propose something that the GCs will accept?

I propose that all cypriots grow up and start being europeans for real and solve this 'cyprus problem' with a pragmatic approach and understanding that in 20 years or so there will be no difference between thr greek and turkish speaking cypriots as we will have completely inter mingled again like it was meant to be before....we all know the story.

I think they did, the bizonal system. If this was made reality then the trust would be boosted so in a later time there would be a complete unification!

PS:I am not sure if the TCs proposed bizonal system!!! COrrect me if I am wrong.
