This is Tr's obligation towards EU, the members of EU.
CyR has nothing to do with it , why should CyR give something in exchange/return for Tr to open her ports etc?
Illogical.

The same can be said for why TRNC should have to bargain for what it rightly deserves. Let me quote Kofi Annan from a press statement on his behalf: "he hopes that ways will be found to ease the plight in which the people find themselves through no fault of their own"

Why is it so difficult for GC administration to show some goodwill to TC's and release aid and ease trade restrictions, why do they adopt such a hostile position in which TC's should be forced to give concessions through economic deprivation. Their only sowing the seeds for more resentment.

VP I understand your desire to advance economically but on the other hand you must also understand this cannot be done without satisfying also the desire of the GCs to get their properties, homes, and lands back. So imo both sides desires should start getting satisfied simultaneously through a process that would lead to resolving the Cyprob. One first step could be the complete demilitarisation, another step could be what Papadopoulos proposed for Varoshia, or any other step could be agreed.
If none of these steps happens then both you and us will be waiting for ever.

Whatever pressure the US or the British will apply will not be enough for us to commit suicide.

MicAtCyp its a matter of who will take the first step and getting around the table, why dont GCs take the first step and get both sides talking without any outsiders?

For me personally I would get rid of all the army tomorrow on both sides and take stock of GC demands regarding the property issue by way of a concesus as to how many would return and how many would sell (same for TCs) this would allow us to evaluate exactly what we are dealing with but we have to also take into account the current practicalities of our situation.

As long as the TC's wish to live seperately from us and deny us our basic rights to live where we choose in our own country in perpertuity then the problem will never be solved.

Tell your leaders to stop looking for a bicommunal bizonal federation and ask for a unitary state then!

Bizonal, bicommunal federatio does not mean having to limit peoples right to live anywhere they wish in their own country. A BBF can be set up without having to put these restrictions on people.

We talked about this before, how bizonality does not mean anything if there isn't some kind of restrictions to maintain TCs as majority in TCCS. If you want to discuss about the details of these limits (like percentage, duration, etc.), we can do that. Otherwise, it's waste of time to talk about a bizonal federation with no limits.

Bizonality can only exist if 'property rights' are restricted.

'Property rights' can exist if a bizonality is disregarded.

It is the harsh truth
