The ONLY way to solve the problem

First of all Cypriots (all communities with a Republic of Cyprus passport) should be seen as an individual on it's own.

All these individuals should claim their own property and private goods before pre-1974. This will help because it will stop arguments and problems to arise between communities. For example, a Turkish-speaking Cypriot should go and claim his property in Limassol even though Talat wants to solve the problem in communities. President Talat has no right to make a decision on an individuals private property in, For example Limassol. Him being a negotiator does not mean he can make decisions on private property.

The property issue should be solved under three main issues; Compensation, Trading the property with another and the the right to return.

A lasting solution should be made and not going to fantasies. The Cyprus problem should be solved according to the UN resolutions wich also suggests a United Federal Cyprus. The Peace-Plan should be based on this.

Cyprus should free from any foreign guarantor and should keep to itself. No foreign country should have the right to take part in the Cypriot politics. Also, Cyprus should purely be independent.

If you add to my proposals or want to make any different suggestions please write.

The Cyprus Problem is a problem that Cypriots have to solve.

turkey would never accept such a solution which is what i personally agree to.. one passport one island no two states crap undr the pretence of re unification under two states that turkey is saying.. turkey is doing everything in its power to make sure we get two states.. and property most of it has been sold by the turks in the north,,

all land in south and north should be given back

Yes, I agree to what you say. Turkey, although is saying that they want peace in the island, I as a Turkish-speaking Cypriot believe that Turkey is doing whatever it can to divide the island furthermore. Increasing the number of Turkish settlers, confiscating land, Cleansing the Cypriot culture, building mosks in every single village (you should know TC's are really not so attached with religion). So this is clearly a process to clean the Cypriots living in the north as well as dividing the island. Also we can see that many young Cypriots in the north who are fighting for peace in the island are being put up to prison for calling the Turkish army ''invadors''. So as you see, the Turkish-speaking Cypriots are also suffering from the prescence of Turkey.

yes i can see that... the elder turkish cypritos would argue they would rather that then live with gcs like vp and zan.

this is why turkey has to be pushed or forced to allow a settlment that does nto destroy the turkish cypriot culture and remove turkish cypriot dialect and bringing more settlers..

welcome to the forum btw its nice to see some more turkish cypritos who are not pro division

do you live in cyprus or are you abroad?

Yeah, i live in Cyprus. In Kyrenia. I can tell you that, believe me i am a pro-peace guy. My aim is to inform people in not a fanatical way so I thought that this is the right place because it is open to everyone. I believe that every thought and ideas have got a place in this forum under certain rules and regulations. So I can say that I am also pleased to be part of this forum and help as much as I can.

To answer to ''kafenes'' question, the land sold to foreigners is a complicated issue. The land is Greek Cypriot land. So this means the real owner of the land has the legal right to own and hold the land under International Rights. However we can see that, Turkey is currently violating the Human Rights protocol which they have already signed and also violating the Geneva protocol which they have also signed. The thing in the land issue would be that everysingle person involved in the transaction of the property owned by another owner would be in fault. So the builder, the seller and the buyer would be in fault. And one day these people will pay the price for this. The original title deeds of the land even in the north is under the control of the Republic of Cyprus. So, so called 'TRNC' has no right to allow people to sell these lands. But we can see that the so called 'TRNC' government is making a form of income by taxes. So this is another issue to consider. But 'kafenes', i believe that all this dirty business will one day come out and the faulty will be punished. Just let the law and the human rights play its role...

If u r a descendant of an Ottoman settler who settled down in Cyprus between the years 1571 to 1878; u r a Turkish settler not a Cypriot.

Leaving aside the humour, what have you to say about the proposals?
