I have no problem to condemn fascists like you VP. I have done so many times.

Still , you do not find the courage to outright condemn these fascists, Piratis. Is this because these fascists exist in other countries too? Do you really want me to believe this? What is holding you back? What about the other forumers, the talkative type. Why have they suddenly lost their voice? Any suggestions?

Why should I condemn some group that I know nothing about? Based on what? Based on your word that they are fascists? Your word means nothing to me because you call everybody "fascist". Ever heard of the "Lying Shepherd" story Bananiot?

If you want to be taken seriously then I suggest to be more careful when you use words like "fascist". If you use such word against everybody that disagrees with you then this word loses its meaning when it comes from you.

This syndrome is exactly what the GCs showed during the 1960s, ignore it, its not our problem, it will go away...time you woke up.

Bananiot, you spend most of your time here trying to convince people that Cyprus is unsuited to be governed through democracy, and constantly reaffirm the “benefits” of inequality with your fervent support of undemocratic political arrangements which are clearly based on racism and anti-majority rule! :?

All these things you support are in fact some of the core ideologies of Fascism yet you call others “fascists”! Image

As I thought. You are probably one of them Piratis. Have you not seen their web site? Have you not seen their alliance with "Chrysi Avgi"? Have you not seen their marching style? Doesn't this remind you of anything? Shame on you Piratis!

GR, even EVROKO has dropped its call for a unitary state, which we all want but some morons do not understand that it is not a feasible option any more because of the actions of their kind in the not so distant past. Not only it is not a feasible option, but history tells us that whenever we went for the desirable, against all logic, we suffered great losses. EVROKO now calls for a nebulous European solution but they have never told us what they mean by this. Of course they were the only party that supported ELAM and its racist march.

Your idea that the Turkish Cypriot community cannot be an equal partner with us because of numerics alone, is the one that smacks of fascism GR, let's be clear about this. Your mumbling about undemocratic arrangements and racism as part of the solution the two leaders are seeking, is just a projection of the ideas of the darkest forces in our society, the ones that brought calamity to Cyprus. Do not forget this either.

The actions of some people from the past CAN NEVER be an obstacle to the freedom and democracy of a country’s future…ie: Just because Nazi Germany was killing Jews doesn’t mean that Germany was then forever condemned to run under one political arrangement or another! So you are talking nonsense!

If a unitary democracy under the EU is “not feasible” as you say, then we might as well pack it all in because nothing else can possibly be feasible in a troubled country like Cyprus where racism and segregation has been nurtured by foreigners for the last 100 odd years!

Those people that are SERIOUS about putting an end to the nonsense on Cyprus once and for all will demand nothing short of a unitary democracy under the EU! Everything else is hogwash!

I also remind that a undemocratic political arrangement has ALREADY been tried and FAILED MISERABLY which is why we are here today (surprise, surprise) with the same dilemma! Talk about learning from the past…

And not to mention that, implementing undemocratic political arrangements in this day and age would be IMPOSSIBLE because such a foolhardy constitution would be in contravention of the UN Charter to which Cyprus is a signatory, unless of course Cyprus revokes her UN membership; this may well be the only way that such diabolic arrangements can come to pass so take good note…

So what you people are essentially doing today is WASTING CYPRUS’ TIME BY DELAYING THE INEVITABLE with illegal nonsense that can never and will never materialize, irrespective of how many political parties or people in Cyprus support it.

Therefore Bananiot, you CANNOT reinvent the wheel… it must always be circular or it simply cannot rotate!

You are using examples to your argument's detriment GR. Nazi Germany was not just killing Jews (remove the fascist grin from you face). Germany started a second world war in order to expand for the glory of fascism. It paid a hefty penalty for this, losing much land, mainly to the east, and I am surprised that you do not know this. Google it and you will see how much land it lost. Perhaps you can find out how many Germans were displaced and relocated elsewhere after the war. It was tough on these people who paid for "the action of some people from the past" but paid they did! I cannot help you if you can not understand this simple principle.

The political arrangement which you do not like is the only one that can unite Cyprus and get the Turkish army back to Turkey. Some settlers will unfortunately stay but this is a small price to pay and if we can work out something positive regarding the guarantees, this will be the cherry on the pie. You and bash fascist, the Archbishop of Cyprus, who got 6% of the popular vote but still won the race, can go on a hunger strike while the whole of Cyprus will be celebrating freedom.
