We have been talking and negotiating for 31 years now and we have seen no results.

no, we were not negotiating for 30 years. first they had denktash.
now, after tha aplan was rejected, pap doesnot want to discuss with talat.

u asked me before what do i suggest?
ok.
we have rejected the aplan. that is history.
next day, or next week if u want (so we can become europeans, demek)
pap could (if he wanted) to go to talat and tell him. look i have this and this problem or else i cannot convince my people. how about we do this and that...
instead what do they do?
just name calling.

but ofcource we nagotiate for 30 years and what did we got?
ofcource that depends on our past actions, ability to negotiate and the balance of power as piratis calls it. the plan was also our leaderships fault.
never forget that

but ofcource negotiation failed and as a result we will not negotiate anymore. we also dont have the military power to get the land back, so what the hell...
we can just wait for the long hand of justice.
which for the last 31 years also didnt come

Give back the properties of the GC side that you currently hold as a hostage and then we can happily negotiate forever if you like.

and the chances of that happening are... ?

if we really want to solve the problem we would be meeting with the tc everyday, till we find sth.

instead the blmaing each other suits us just fine:
-u took our land
-u broke the agreements of 1960
-they were unfair
-u signed them
-we were hier for 3500
-so what?
-trnc is illegal
-we are hier though
-u want partition
-u rejected the anan plan
....
continue like that for ever if u want.
perhaps one day u will realise thast leads to nowhere

Thank you for your permission.

You never needed my permission to act in a criminal way. If you want to be criminals that your choice. I never encouraged you to act in this way though.

Thats your opinion which your entitled to but the TCs UN EU USA Turkey Greece dont agree with you..

Greece and a big part of EU agrees. As far as the Americans and the Turks goes the reasons are obvious (they are the ones who made the plan!)

Hate to have to remind you again but the Annan plan gave you your land back you rejected it

It gave us back only 7% and in return it took away democracy and it made us second category EU citizens!

Was this in 1960-1974???

Yes, and it is now also.

The above statement confirms that you do not have a clue as to what TCs want

I know very well what your leadership wants. They want partition. They want to have a separate state on the land that was stolen from us. This was said by them several times.

We already did. Long time ago. See my post here:

The conclusion is that no matter how fair it is what we are asking for (and what can be more fair than basic human rights?) they will give up nothing unless they are forced to.

Viewpoint wrote:Kifeas why are you so suprised? I have always said our administrations should at least be talking to each other, Talat and Papadop have to meet on a regular basis to address issues. If the negotiations are to based on Annan 5 or partition then this will develop as negotiations proceed, Gcs may come to realize that forming any future united Cyprus with TCs would not serve their best interests and that alternative forms of resolving the issue may be more attractive, who knows???

I wonder, does your mother has more clever children like you, or you are the only one?

We have been talking and negotiating for 31 years now and we have seen no results. I do not mind if we continue talking and negotiating for the next 50 or 100 years, as long as it is done on an equal footing. From the moment you hold our properties and our homeland as a hostage, then this talking and negotiating cannot be considered to be done on an equal footing. This is the reason you did not agree on a solution yet and this is the reason you will never agree on a solution in the future if it doesn't amount to a capitulation of the GC side on all the unreasonable claims that you always had and continue to have.

Give back the properties of the GC side that you currently hold as a hostage and then we can happily negotiate forever if you like.

My mother who is from the south is lucky enough to have 2 more like me but the good news is there are a lot more like me in the TC community.

Equal footing, whatever could you mean??? who has world wide recognition and the EU on their side?? relinquish the "RoC", telling the world we are equal communites and leave the EU, then we will give you all your properties rights back, we can both be 2 unrecognized equal communites and start to negotiate from there, any good??? Now what did you say about equal footing??

Didnt we agree to share blame?

Yes, and it is now also.

Really Piratis you are scraping the barrel did we have democracy, human rights and national order in the 1960 to 1974?? dont kid yourself.

I know very well what your leadership wants. They want partition. They want to have a separate state on the land that was stolen from us. This was said by them several times.

Thats why 65% voted YES to a comprehensive solution to the Cyprus issue and constantly are the positive side reaching out to your leadership to start talks. Return of your lands will only come via an agreed solution or a swing of power in your favor which you are waiting for, do you think you will see it in your lifetime??

Fair for whom? GCs?
