...stud, if i may, let's stick to the topic, a humble proposal, and being in the 'Solutions' section, we could stick to the Problem.

Freedom for Cyprus-Freedom for Cypriots, too.

cheers!

RW I commend your efforts. If the Turks do not want to live in a country where one man one vote is respected or civil liberties are up held(free movement, equal blind justice...)then whatever system is implemented will not work

...i would be careful not to generalise Oceanside, i believe that all Men want Freedom, and that as Human beings, in our needs all are Equal, your argument is not sound, those most vocal may not be representing their Constituency, but themselves.

the Turks you may be referring to, i call "Turks", cowards who bring shame to themselves, not just as Individuals, but as a Person without charity or grace, they are not Turks, and in that, they tarnish the image of Turkishness. there are many examples from this community of their love for Respect, and Universal Principals, and they should not be so easily dismissed. however, the "Turks", just like the "Greeks" who through Ignorance shame Greekness, hold the Agenda. as a Cypriot, i fight to remind everyone, that the coin may have two faces, but it is the coin itself that is important.

Freedom for Cyprus, Freedom for Cypriots, too.

for all those who genuinely advocate one man one vote may i suggest you make contact with a few tcs who have settled in the south and get their opinion how well it works before even considering it as a solution. to the fanatics i say get stuffed.

i consider anybody who refers to the tcs as turks as being a fanatic and a greek.

indeed, the Republic needs reform Lordo, and the Turkish Constituency suffers a great need as well (even if you deny it), it can never be equal to the State, and as such it can never be recognised, its equal is a Greek Constituency, with its creation. all Citizens can commit themselves to their Rights as Individuals: here is the rub; and i hope that you understand it, seek a Greek Constituency, seek to defend the Maronites, Armenians and Latins, who have the same Right to being Persons.

If the OP would humble himself to answering a few questions:

DrCyprus wrote:... After all, we've lived together for 10 times the amount of time we've been seperated.

How have we "lived" together?

Are all cultures equally democratic?

Well obviously Lordo, TCs are not allowed to vote under the current constitution and the current status quo.

I am glad we finally agree on a unitary solution. :D

That's unconstitutional. TCs are only allowed to vote for Vice-President.

...so you are eager to change from a Greek state, to a Cypriot State, where being Greek (at the Federal Level) is of no importance, and that all voters are the same?
