''Cyprus: Three of the four remains of anti-fascist heroes murdered by EOKA II have been found''

Siblings Charalambos and Anastasis, together with Charalambous, had undertaken the mission to take two members of Archbishop Makarios’ presidential guard – Christakis Kombos and Yiorgos Vrountou – to Limassol.

According to testimony, their car was intercepted by members of coupists EOKA B, they were subsequently interrogated, brutally tortured and murdered at a rubbish tip in the area of Ayios Tychona, Limassol.

When the Republic of Cyprus informed the Turkish-Cypriot leadership that they had located the graves of twenty missing Turkish-Cypriots near the village of Alaminos and they wanted to exhume the bodies and return the remains to their families, the Turkish-Cypriots refused to participate in any way even in the identification of their own people.

https://greekreporter.com/2022/07/20/id ... on-cyprus/

Things only began to change after Turkey began to seek admission to the European Union in 2005 after Cyprus had already joined the bloc the year before.

One year later, Turkey and the Turkish-Cypriot representatives began to work with the CMP, allowing them to exhume, test, and return the remains of the missing to their loved ones under the strict provision that the organization not apply blame for any deaths.

They also did not open their files to the CMP, a point which Sergides argues prolongs the suffering of the loved ones of those missing and damages the relationship between Greek-Cypriot and Turkish-Cypriot communities.

...an article worth reading.

Turkey, its Army, to this day will not open the relevant files that they have to the CMP.

A TC who's father was lost in Eglence in 1964 posted information on his social media to say he had met a GC who lived Eglence and his father was reported missing in the place I am from. I know that there is a few GC missing in the same place but unfortunately those who were digging graves are no longer alive and those alive who may have information are not talking.

So I replied to his post and asked for anybody who has any knowledge about the where abouts of the missing GCs to release the information regarding the locations of their remains. His reply was telling. He simply said you are knocking on the wrong door. First let them release all the information they have about our remains first. I confronted him to say this is not politics, this is not even looking for guilt, simply it is asking for information so the remains can be found and handed back to their families for closure. He then got quite nasty and said I was a GC lover and then advised me to ask those who are older then me to explain to me what the Cyprus Problem was about as I clearly did not understand it.

So I posted him this video of this fellow who claimed he killed GC because he felt they were dogs and got pleasure doing it. He also used to punish TCs who were against TMT. His name is Turgut Yenagrali. He is the nastiest piece of shit in Cyprus and they are are plenty of these swine on both sides.

Lucky for me I will be in Cyprus this August for a while and am hoping I come across him.

That’s a pretty old video judging by the resolution (15 years?)… he’s probably dead by now.

No doubt Turgu Yenagrali may be dead, I was referring to the man who told me I was knocking at the wrong door. he is very old but alive. I will explain to him that if he carries information into the other world, he will not be happy where he is heading. He is rather religious. Although my friend who lives there managed to get a bit of information from couple of weeks back. He divulged where they took two GC to execute but just general area rather than a specific place. That is what I will try to get from him. Face to face may be a little softer than on social media.
