Which Turkish invasion?

I mean the turkish intervention that followed the Greek Invasion (as the president of Cyprus named it). Well spotted though, my mistake.

Indeed, it wasn't 'any' mistake.

But I ask you again, to which Turkish invasion were you referring?

I was referring to legal and obligatory military intervention of 20/7/1974.

This invasion (July, 1974), the previous invasion(1964) and the subsequent invasion (August, 1974) were neither legal nor obligatory (nasty joke, huh) since the TCs pulled out of the 1960 Treaty in 1963.

Intervention may have been legal according to that Treaty, as the Council qualified, BUT, the treaty had been nullified. So by legal and logical deduction ALL three Turkish invasions were and are STILL illegal!

Oh that stupid judge didn't take your claims into account, huh? The truth is that the treaty has been nullified in your dreams only.

Turkey had an obligation to intervene and save the lives of TCs and communists that were arrested by eoka b gang members.

i wa wondering how long before oracle i mean gig would surface. she will check every single coma and dot to make sure you have not made any mistakes. in her and quite a few other forumers mind the there was no need for any intervention after all the tcs and communists were killed. then terggy would have justification.

so perhaps you can explain to us dear oracle if the treat is indeed nullified, why on earth did the greak fo yesterday announce that there is no need for any gurantees in cyprus. according to you they are not there.

let me give you some bad news. till the time all 5 parties that signed up for it to be removed the treaty is solid. you can cry all you like it aint gona change nofink like

Which "stupid judge"? The Turkish one?

You really should stop acting like a brainwashed Turk if you want us to believe you are something else.

The reality is that the ILLEGAL INVASION (your choice of word) is STILL an illegal occupation.

Here are a few reasons why Turkey's actions are of warmongering and not peace:

1) the TCs nullified the 1960 Constitution by walking out. Turkey had no rights to a voice in Cyprus.

2) Turkey rubber-stamped this TC-nullification when it tried to invade in 1964 and was told to piss off by the USA.

3) the UN security council rewrote the "measures" (1964) which would be taken to maintain peace on Cyprus. These did not include ANY action by Turkey!

You will find no legal document which says "Turkey had an obligation" to invade.

If some idiot Turk insists he wants *guarantees*, he would have to be reminded why they are not needed nor were they ever needed as they were merely an excuse to keep Cyprus under outside control.

It's plain to see why Britain drew the immoral, unethical, unworkable and (if all were honest) illegal undemocratic Constitution of 1960.

Giving them their dues, they later admitted as much and sought to make it more democratic .... hence why TCs left. Democracy seems to be anathema to Turks.
