TC want security for them and their children. That is normal. Turkey would be willing to guarantee a solution, but GCs arent really happy about that. Could you suggest a way that TCs would be safe without the guaranties?

ignore the assholes for they know not what they are doing.

option one - disarm Cyprus with just minimum equal force in terms of arms for both communities and perhaps tcs will acept to suspend the gurantee
option two - it may be possible that terggy only guarantees the tc sate from attacks.
option three - nato guarantee - but i personally dont like nato guarantee as it was america/nato whichcasued the cyprus problem in the firat place.

my choice would be the first one with strict control in what arms can be brought to the island. not like in 1963 when 12 thousand greek soldiers got dressed as women and arrived on the island. with a guarantee that if GCs break the armament rule then turkish gurantee gets re-activated.

Thank you for the answer dear friend which highlightens your efforts for finding a lasting solution

Option one sounds best, although I wouldnt feel entirely safe if I were a TC as it is known that GCs have hidden arms.

I guess we have to accept some forms of guarantees.

At first I expressed support for your views, gradually though you have proven beyond a shadow of a doubt, especially with your ....admiration for the forums idiot, that you are a deluded, naïve and rather idiotic individual. Mate , I too wish to live in peace with my T/C compatriots, I too want a united Cyprus but I also want democracy. I want nothing whatsoever to do with a third world Islamic nation such as Turkey, a nation that is considered by naïve westerners as a democratic one , my kolos!

Let all Cypriots embrace their TRUE homeland, their true NATION, but never suggest that we need Turkey to guarantee our freedoms.

As for you, well all I can say is what a fucking Plonker you turned out to be!!!

Call me as you like, i dont really care, but I d like to know your proposals on the safety of TCs. If you really want to "live in peace with my T/C compatriots, I too want a united Cyprus" you have to address TCs concerns.

Any form of guarantees by this volatile state are a non-starter for GC concerns.

I'm not Lordo but I do find this funny logic...Turkish citizens are guaranteed their rights by the Turkish constitution and yet the world just witnessed a massive pogrom on any Turkish citizens who ever spend a cent in a Gulen school or where suspected of colluding with him otherwise. What makes you think that same country will guarantee the rights of Cypriots?

The Gulenists were a conspiratorial cult whose aim was to infiltrate all echelons of the state for the purpose of overthrowing the secular state by unconstitutional means and replacing it with an Islamist state, and it is perfectly justifiable for members of such an organisation to be weeded out of the positions they have infiltrated into for purposes that are in breach of the constitution, often using illigitimate means such as the organisation gaining access to entrance exam results and distributing these to their own candidates in advance.

And I imagine all this was constitutional when this machine was being used to prop erdogan in place?

No, it has never been constitutional in its aims and activities. In my opinion, this machine created the AKP and put Erdoğan at its top in the first place. I am still delighted to see it smashed and there is nothing unconstitutional about that. On the other hand, there is and has been plenty in Turkey that is unconstitutional, including extrajudicial killings, but not this.

This isn't unconstitutional? Which constitution are we talking about? North Korea's?

Arresting suspected coupists isn't unconstitutional. Beating them up is. You seemed to be talking about the arrests of Gulen supporters suspected of involvement in a failed coup, now you are changing the goal posts.

Beating is always unconstitutional, but I have seen how GCs reacted at the beating of the Conspiracy of Fire Nuclei members

Anyway, anyone who says he wont accept Turkish Guarantees should propose his alternative plan.

absolutely, perhaps milti and dt can put themselves in tc position and suggest how tcs can feel secure in the new state. just saying what is unaccpetable is a failure. suggest a workable propoition and see what you can come up with.

Like you clowns were putting yourselves in the native Cypriot's position from 1571 and right up to 1960? :?

you can do better than that. seeing how every time there is an attack on a tc there the roc is incapable of dealing with it, you would be a fool to think that there is no need for any guarantees. you can come up with an idea. but only if you try. living in denial only fools yourself.

Like I said elsewhere… your best guarantee is to move to Turkey.

I for one am not interested in providing guarantees on *MY INHERITED COUNTRY/TERRITORY* to an 80+ million strong Islamic horde who have the table manners of an orangutan!

For me the most important thing for Cyprus is the preservation of the native Cypriot and everything else comes second, so all options should remain on the table including the military.

If anything, it is the native Cypriots that need the guarantee of the international community that they will no longer be choked to death by the Turkish horde and not the other way round.

You’ve had your murderous ways far too long on this Christian island and it’s high time we’ve put an end to that.
