Hey lala, why has your puppet state not given back 1 field to the greeks ?
Your illegal state is making lots of money selling stolen greek land and property to stupid greedy british people , thats why your puppet state dont want to return what it has stolen.
You and your pro-occupation pals are lucky that the cyprus government are too weak and stupid to put pressure on your puppet state politicians to find a settlement.

the turks killed my great grandparents in the armenian genecide.
my grandfather was shot in the cypriot war '74. my godmother was raped

my oldest brother died after he was born abnormal because my mum was
about to conceive him just after the war would finish, but they pulled him out undeveloped properly during the war. he lived for 5 years, abnormally,
couldnt walk or talk,he just sat there for 5 years......
my family ended up in australia, on the other side of the globe, the other side of my homeland, my place......
i hated turks. i hated greeks.
but now i realised its over. nothing will bring my bro back, so we need to move on

all this hatred leads to one thing. suffering and more suffering

what for ?? you think theres national pride in that? that my friend is just bullshit, its what keeps us divided, its how they control you man, dont you get it?

lets move on. forget the past forget everything. we are all people all human
who cares if your turk and im greek???
you mean to tell me that if you saw me stuck in a burning car you wouldnt pull me out?, cause i would, and i wouldnt care if your were turkish, muslim or whatever, in the end in my eyes... your human......

Well.Wise words in a sea of zealots.

I agree with you ausbroker.People need to move on.Unfortunately you will always have extremists on both sides of the argument. They will NEVER be convinced in reasonable debate. Its pointless even trying. But to the larger majority of decent, sensible thinking people,a middle ground can be found. It will just take time......as all things do

I dont know what perception I;m giving lol but this may come as a shock, I actually have Greek friends and my family said Greeks or Rum as we call Gc's are generally cool

I just dont like the way certain Gc's pretend were the barbaric sub-human monsters of the world, that pre1974 Greek Junta and EOKA-B acts are a figment of the imagination and that everything in the world is the TUrks fault, you see its people like that who marginalise people and make them more Nationalist.

If no1 gave a shit wether I was a Turk or a Greek I wudnt have any reason to defend my people against slander and de-famation, think about it.

lala you are saying you are looking foward to doing the army

I was kidding man, just winding certain people up but I wudnt mind making some serious muscles hehe

Exactly, exactly, exactly,

you mean to tell me that if you saw me stuck in a burning car you wouldnt pull me out?

I say Vallahi I'd do everything I cud to save you absolutely everything

even if I knew you were a Greek Junta Eoka-b

I'm sorry if I offended some Greeks here, its just that you have to see how it feels sometimes as we were de-humanised, slandered and de-famed for many years, its not nice is it.

Kibris turkdur

Kibris Turkdur Kibris Turk Kalacak. Now, is that the whole island or just the part Turkey occupies? Are you advocating advancing further or are we all supposed to think as Turkey does that there is only 'Kibris' the breakaway rebublic and nothing else?

Isn't it hypocritical in posting tirades about EOKA-B to have this as your slogan? Maybe it would be better to have 'Kuzey Kibris Turkdur, Turk Kalacak" rather than let us Turkish-speaking Rum fill in the blanks. Am I not mistaken in thinking Kibris is the geographical term for the whole island and KKTC- Kuzey Kibris Turk Cumhurriyeti your republic?

Call me crazy.

Thanks lalaland.

Jeeez, its a slogan, it means Turkish Cyprus will not be destroyed and our people attacked, when the place you live apparently doesnt exist, when people on the other side of the Island spread lies, hatred and propoganda against Innocent people and try to starve them through sanctions instead of making people feel less passionate and anti-Turkish you do the complete opposite, it envokes a sense of Pride were resisting our oppressers we are Proud of what we are we want to learn more about who we are etc etc you see oppression never works, it does the complete oppposite you set out to achieve. If Gc' regeme hadnt took such an anti-Turk stance this situation wouldnt exist today.

Theres no need to get paranoid, I've never heard any Turk calling for an attack against Greek Cyprus, never have I heard of new invasion plans these are all in your head.

We see it as our side is safe for us and on your side your protected and have laws to suit you, we dont spend all day talking about how we should go into Greek Cyprus you should realise this, I never even thought about such a stupid idea, I respect Greeks and feel that on their side they have it best as to suit their needs.

Not at all, if there was no EOKA-B, there would be no Turkish Cyprus, there would still be RoC, we may have had a rocky process but there would have been no need for a millitary intervention.

I have a question, why do we call you Rum but mainland Greeks Yunan??? does anyone know?

Just curious. There do exist ultranationalists who believe that the entirety of Cyprus is rightfully Turkish. I still think it is ambiguous as is. I heard that 'Yunan' comes from the Koran and Bible and is the land of Jonas (Yunus) apparently he rode there inside the stomach of that dolphin (I believe the Arabic word for 'dolphin' is related). Rum comes from Romaios (Roman) as the Greeks identified themselves when the Turks came and it stuck. Rum has come to identify Greeks living in the Turkish dominion. I guess is Cyprus it stuck as their status vis-a-vis mainland Greece was ambiguous. I have seen 'Rum' used in the Turkish press almost exclusively when they write about Greek Cypriots.

I think this has been the case since the turn of the century. Greeks in the Hellenic Republic are Yunan and those in Ottoman dominion were Rum. Before 1914, I wonder if Greeks of Epirus and Macedonia referred to themselves as Rum however, maybe Turks did. That would be interesting to find out.

One problem is with the minority of GC's who would like to get the Turks inside the burning car if they could and could get away with it. But even the greater problem is the rest of the GC's who would not raise a finger.

Before 1974 many GC officials cooperated with EOKA B, I mean if they were not already a militant, and the huge majority of GC civilians did not give a damn whether the TC's were prosecuted or not.

Since 1974 there does not seem to have occurred any change of mentality on the GC side, except that now they are even more furious.

It is difficult to forget the history when the threat still exist, and the past becomes only an example of what can happen if you lower your guard.

Rahmi, do you maybe forget the terrorists of TMT, the analogous of EOKA B, that did the exact same things against Greek Cypriots?

Or maybe you forget the Turkish official policy in Cyprus, one of murdering and ethnic cleansing, and I repeat this is the OFFICIAL policy of Turkey.

If you could forget the TMT and the part of history that doesn't suit you, then why you can not forget the other parts of history as well and allow human rights and democracy for all? The answer is simple: Because it doesn't suit you to forget those parts since maintaining hate and division among Cypriots is what you think will bring you gains on the expense of the human rights of Greek Cypriots.

Could you please Source this claim cos I have never heard of anything so absurd in my entire life, I actually know die-hard Ulkucu even they dont go as far as to state this stupid claim

There is Turkish Cyprus which protects the Turks were happy with this, theres no need to be greedy man

Yes, we call Dolphins "Yunus" aswell but I think Yunan word comes from Ionan what you think?

Also alot of Greeks in the Ottoman Empire referred to themselves as Ottoman, as they were allowed their patriarch which Catholics forbid, also many business-men and wealthy people were Greek and protected, it was ideal for them rather then being ruled by a German King Otto.

I wonder if Greeks of Epirus and Macedonia referred to themselves as Rum however, maybe Turks did. That would be interesting to find out

Yeah thats a good question, I'm gonna try find out the answer for you :P
