The independent is run by a bunch of left wing vegetarians and is not considered representative of the British people.

Millions of people from mostly the third world chose on their own free will to run from their countries and settle in our civilized world , where they have prospered , educated their off springs , were provided with free health care .

Migration to the Western world is and has been at an all time high. We are busy here because what we offer is value for money , as a business man would say. Let me make your day once again.

Long may American continue as the superpower in the world. Long live the West , the provider of hope to the rest of the world.
Miltiades, Miltiades, miltiades...no it is not a Typo. If you were an American you will be living in Texas, and not too far from George Bush, because you will want to feel safe knowing he is there to protect you, just like all the right wing nuts, the Republicans. We don't hate the West, we are simply trying to save the principles we "Americans" and friendly Allies have held for long time, until the country fell into the hands of Neo-fascist-Consevatives that you're very proud to align youself with, or is it because you want to be on the side of a big bully, no matter what they do, and follow them like a sheep. Sorry my friend, but if you don't stop and ask question where their motives are in almost all of their actions towards other countries, then you have been suckered into their way of thinking. Let look at where you and they stand.

1. Blacks are mainly criminals
2. People from 3rd world countries can be paid slave wages to maintain high living standars for the Westerners.
3. The West can impose their will, on anyone.
4. When the other side hits back, it's their fault and not what we did.

After enslaving most of Africas young and strong for 200 years, now you have the nerve to say, they can't look after them selves, so they come to the West to be saved. Same goes to most of the Asian countries, where the British milked them dry from their natural resorces for centuries. The West owes them a lot, don't you think.

If they only knew how much oil there was and how important it would be today, I doubt any Arab country would have been allowed to keep them. Look what happened to Iraq, and I'm sure they would like to do the same to Iran.

I have sent you twice the website on "PNAC" on how the West has been planning to steal the oil from the Arabs, but I noticed you're keeping a low profile on that one, why, because you can't even say one bad thing towards the West, even though you know damn well, that most often what they do, it's only for their benefit. But that is OK with you, since you're able to profit from it.

If it wasn't for everything the Western civilization has stolen fom the rest of the world for centuries, it is quite possible, we would not be here today, as we know the West to be, so do not insult those people from other countries who are trying to defend what they have left, to support their race. Or do you really want them to kiss your feet, while you kick them with the other.
Kikapu, I am happy you also see the reality of the Middle East....you, Simon, Lysi and Theresa can see the truth about this region, and I appreciate it.

Simon , Lysi , and Theresa have on many occasions exhibited their love for the Meadle East and it is clear from the views expressed that they are anti -American even anti West. One found the words to excuse the horrendous and barbaric suicides by Iraqis against Iraqis by calling these , attacks against collaborators of Americans.
Israel has responded to the attacks by Hezbollah and I stated on more than one occasion that the killing of innocents is a crime against humanity and that Israel has to be held accountable.
Does any one think that Hezbollah's hundreds of rockets unleashed against Israel would not have caused thousands of casualties if they were more potent and better equipped. Would Hezbollah consider the killing of Israelites a crime against humanity? ?
Cyprus is not a Middle Eastern country contrary to what some of you might think. We rely totally on the West to provide us with the financial means to achieve higher standards in every aspect of our lives , be it in education , medical matters IT technology , financial matters and much more.
I have attacked theocratic regimes and will do so again , as for our friend who converted to Christianity , I would suggest he exercises good care should he visit his fatherland under the present regime.

Miltiades, I cannot speak for Simon and Lysi but I would answer the above post for myself. I love all peoples of the world. What I do not love is the Wests so called superiority and yes - ESPECIALLY the USA self appointing themselves as the moral police of the world. With regards loving the Middle East, I despise unconditionally their opression of Women, especially in saudia arabia - a rich educated (for the rich anyway) country that treats its women as mindless chattels. I do not love suicide bombers or anyone who inflicts harm on innocent people. I want the USA to stop poking their fully armed noses in other countries for their own benefit. How much help did those 100's of thousands of Rwandans get? Oh well, THEY didnt have rich oil fields to plunder did they? Its not just the USA its England also - and yes - it sickens me! Whether we approve of another countries way of life or not we cannot and should not INFLICT our western values on the people, unless they want our values - in which case the people will have to decide and make changes themselves. Its about CHOICE their choice, their way of life, cant you respect that?
Tess

The want to live in caves that is their business , they bomb us and crash aircraft in our cities and kill thousands then is our business . The USA is the superpower like it on not and it will not stand idle and watch these primitives embark upon their mission of destruction .Our way of life , our freedoms and our treatment of women as you say , are our values. We will protect our way of life and defend our freedom , that precious human quality that doesn't exist in the Middle East.
I will say it again so that no one has any misconceptions as to where I stand.
I have criticized Israels actions and have stated consistently that the killing of innocents is a crime against humanity. Israel must be held accountable for it's actions. Likewise the other side has to seize hostilitiesagainst the state of Israel. If you poke a snake in the eye it will bite .
The immense hatred in the Middle East is kept alive by religion , culture , ignorance and nationalistic instincts.
The West has realized it's errors since WW2 , huge strides have been made in every walk of socio-political life , human rights are the basis of most European nations constitutions. The West is progressing constantly while the Middle East is going backwards.Look at Iran , still stoning people to death , run by mad Mullahs hell bent on the destruction of their nation by continuing their catastrophic march towards nuclear weapons.

Here is an interesting article from Pat Buchanan...

some extracts
No, Israel is doing this, with the blessing and without a peep of protest from President Bush. And we wonder why they hate us.

"Today, we are all Israelis!" brayed Ken Mehlman of the Republican National Committee to a gathering of Christians United for Israel.

The last superpower is impotent in this war because we have allowed Israel to dictate to whom we may and may not talk. Thus, Bush winds up cussing in frustration in St. Petersburg that somebody should tell the Syrians to stop it. Why not pick up the phone, Mr. President?

I think its safe to say that the jewish lobby party is having a big say and has hijacked the US foreign policy...and the problem is, its so bloody obvious...

Israeli bomb kills UN observers

Four United Nations observers have been killed in an Israeli air strike on an observation post in south Lebanon.

UN Secretary General Kofi Annan said he was "shocked" at the "apparently deliberate targeting" of the post. Israel has expressed "deep regret".

It said the four, from Austria, Canada, China and Finland, had taken shelter in a bunker under the post after it was earlier shelled 14 times by Israeli artillery.

A rescue team was also shelled as it tried to clear the rubble

Neither man talked about failure, nor were they likely to, but that was the subtext to the meeting between US President George W Bush and Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri Maliki.

The security operation in Baghdad, which the Iraqi leader launched six weeks ago - and which Mr Bush had endorsed during his unannounced visit to the Iraqi capital last month - has not produced results.

Or, more accurately, it has produced the wrong ones.

The upsurge in sectarian violence which has coincided with the crackdown, has seen the Iraqi civilian death toll rise to about 100 per day.

The US military estimates that there have been 40% more major attacks in Baghdad in July, than in previous months.

let us not forget that somewhere else is even worse than lebanon.

100 per day!!!!

My question was who is doing the killing now , not how many were killed by Sadam and his henchmen pre -2003 .
