As long as you are breaking a lot of laws in Cyprus and Human Rights etc, you have to be crouched everytime you are referred to. You are the products of Ottoman soldiers, that have been here with no right for 500 years. You talk of the 60's like it was the decade that hell was released on Cyprus! The mid-50's and 60's were just a small break-out from the CYPRIOT people, trying to remove their rulers and the rulers' produced population. Everyone knows that the first Turks and only Turks until 1974 were the Ottoman soldiers and their children. When you acknowledge that you have no rights in Cyprus, you will have a solved Cypriot problem. The Cypriot problem is the presece of Turkish element(specially the army, as a lot of the Turkish population is willing to live with the laws of Cyprus)
It's just the timing that makes you think that we could co-exist in a federation! Us, the legal owners of the island, accepting to give 30% of our lands to our conqueror. That's more of a post-war Peace Treaty, than a Peace Settlement...

It's really bad having people like you around, claiming rights they don't deserve. The Turkish population in the north needs more people like the ones that created that school the topic is about... :!:

It is my conclussion from this forum that Turkish Speaking Cypriots are opposed to a unification plan. Which contradicts the results of AP referundum 2004.

This could well be due to the fact that with the borders opening and the TC's finding out first hand what the GC's are really like.

TC's being attacked, their car tires being slashed, insults from the GC's on daily basis.

The days of living as second-class citizens in our own country is over.

500 years of oppression and 3 years of "bad experience" doesn't have a nice balance  You shouldn't be whining about what's happening to some of you. In most people's eyes, you deserve it, even if those that get hurt evetually have done nothing wrong but were only born...
Cypriots hate anything that's Turkish, you shouldn't find it bizarre if you actually have some brain. It's 500 years, not 5...

Klik, I am afraid your above comments indicate a very confused individual that has no clue of what he is talking about. Even if we assume that the TCs are indeed the “products of ottoman soldiers” (in realty, to a large extent they are not,) still you cannot claim that after 400 years of living here, they have no rights in this country. They are citizens of this country by all means and measures, and as such they have every single right that you also have, and furthermore, as a community they also have collective communal rights stemming out of their distinct cultural identity, in the same way that the GC community also has. You have no right to make such levelling out claims like the above, and there is absolutely no single GC political party or credible political movement among the GC society that either publicly or secretly shares your above views. We may disagree with them and dispute the type of collective (communal) rights that their (TC) leadership and many of them claim they should have, but this has absolutely no relationship with what you have implied above. Such views like yours are completely radical, unrealistic and extremist, and you will soon discover that you cannot convince the majority of the GC society on their validity and acceptance, set aside anyone outside Cyprus.

Kifeas how right you are in criticizing views expressed by Klik who is utterly incorrect in his views on a section of our Cypriot society , I only wish that such views are exposed for what they are , pathetically inconsistent with realities and extremely damaging to the Cyprus cause.
He should know that the Cypriots are Cypriots irrespective of their ancestry and all have a democratic right to demand that Cyprus is their land .

mrfromng .... I do not condone the violence against Turkish Speaking Cypriots at all, you may argue the same for Greek Speaking Cypriots that the borders are open and they cross over to the North only to find that a tranger s occupying their home and exploiting their orchards ...... same violation different way of delivery neither right nor appropriate surely you can appreciate my point. try it and see that if one Turkish Speaking Cypriot family got up and said I am handing over this property to its rightful owner that Greek Speaking Cypriots would rally and support them not only in finding alternative accommodation but for the will courage and justice they have expressed.

If nothing else prove me wrong!

Turkish will never ever be a Cypriot language. Mistakes of 1960 will never be made again. We should not encourage an occupant element in our country if we want progression.
Those in the north have done the correct thing, trying to learn the language of Cyprus....

i cant believe this guy is still on the forum...why hasn't anyone banned him yet?

does anyone actually like this guy?

Klik, trust me, you are on the wrong forum if you are here to hate on fellow cypriots...

most of our friends here are CYPRIOT...not turkish...not greek...CYPRIOT...cyprus has two languages...go read the constitution...you love cyprus, i recommend you to read your own consitution for once...forget the hellenistic propaganda you've been brainwashed with...you claim to be a cypriot...yet you are so far from it you support the ideals of a foreign nation...true cypriot patriot...lol...you are a joke
