The legendary pop group 'The Animals' are being sued by the US government for misrepresentation.

There is no longer a House in New Orleans let alone one called 'The Rising Sun'

English humour is probably the darkes humour of all, we find a laugh in almost anything.

Yesterday I was listening to some music and I heard the song "I'm walking on Sunshine".

Its not funny (definitely black humour) but who knows the singer and band?

he did use the word 'almost'. i'm not trying to butt into your little war of words, but I have to side with davidp. The English do have dark humour, i think its' because of their stiff upper lip...
but what do i know... i'm a newbie on this great joke-part of the forum!

Well, I saw a stand-up comedian on TV the other day and he was able to produce some hilarious jokes about them. Unfortunately, my aged memory has forgotten them but even if I wrote them down here, they probably would not be funny because it requires the personality of the comedian to put them over.

The US TV is full of jokes about Katrina, as well.

If you cannot smile at tragedy, then you must be a pretty miserable person. That is why the traditional symbol for the theatre shows a sad mask and a smiling mask together, representing the closeness of tragedy and comedy.

Eddie Grant also covered this song, so I don't see a connection. Well maybe I do.
:) :) :)

P.S. Thanks for the support from forum members, without humour life would be dull.
