Evidence of the existence of God just doesn’t get any bigger or any more spectacular than the universe but you’d have to have an equally large and spectacular stupidity to not see it!

Hey, I’m willing to compromise that we may well have two types of humans on Earth… those created by God and those that came from monkeys because I swear to God I sometimes feel like I'm among a bunch of monkeys! :?

How is the universe evidence for the existence of God? It isn't.

Whatever combination of matter, energy, ingredients, and reactions formed the universe.... that's GOD!

You can call it the supra-cosmic-genesis-reaction to sound cool and I just call it GOD.

Same thing… different labels.

You are saying that God is simply the universe. Interesting. I always thought it was a mythical supranatural being that supposedly created the universe. Yes, the universe exists. I can't find this definition of God anywhere though. This is certainly not the God that one finds in Genesis.

Not really, I'm saying that God is the *magic* or super-reaction that kick-started the birth of the universe.

But is there some kind of competition to conjure up the coolest scientific complex label to describe what is responsible for the formation of the universe?

Well I refuse to play because I don’t like complex labels so I’ll just stick to my 3 letter word GOD, not matter what is responsible!

See how I can never be wrong? :D

Go and stand next to an ant without stirring up the dirt so as not to cause commotion.

What happens? Well, you’ll find that nothing happens! Why?

Because the ant is so small and you are so big that it can’t see you!

And that’s exactly why we can’t see God!

He is right in our face but he’s too big... just as you were standing right in the ant’s face but it couldn’t see you…

with all the education you have had, if you believe that god created the universe i would say it has all been wasted.

i would ask for my money back. funny thing is worlds are being created as we speak and we can see them billions of miles away but no god.

ela botha i got god for you. can you see him. he is playing idja with you

But Lordo, you don’t come across as having had *any* worthwhile education (well definitely not tertiary anyway) so how can you possibly evaluate me or trust your sense of judgment?

Are you not aware that to teach you must be at least one academic level higher than your students?

At least that’s how it works in the EU but I don’t know about Turkey.

And what makes you think that this "combination of matter, energy, ingredients, and reactions" is something conscious that also gives a fuck about you? What guides your beliefs is always the same: Wishful thinking.

In order to fulfill your wishful thinking a series of baseless assumptions need to be made:

Baseless assumption 1: There is a creator of the universe
Baseless assumption 2: That creator cares about you (to use your ant example: that "invisible to the ants" human deeply cares about the ants)
Baseless assumption 3: That creator is able to offer to you eternity (to use your ant example: that "invisible to the ants" human can make ants immortal)

So in order to fulfill your psychological needs you need to make a baseless assumption on top of a baseless assumption on top of a baseless assumption!
