Of course the TCs aren't isolated.

They have over 40,000 troops and 160,000 settlers who've all come over specially from Anatolia just to keep them company.

(the bottom link worked for me)

Isolation? What isolation?

The Occupied Areas have always been free to export and import goods and services through the Mamaland, Turkey and from there to the rest of the World. In the last couple of years the Green Line Regulations have allowed a growing import and export trade directly with the EU.

Gather further that some million personal crossings are made through the Check-points each year, including thousands each and every day by our tissy friends for work or to go to the front of the queque for free health treatment in the Free Hospitals of the Republic.

Increasingly overseas tourists are flying non-stop in to LCA and being bussed through the cease-fire line for their holidays in the resorts of the Occupied North, albeit staying illegally in the Stolen Hotels.

So this "isolation" wouif be a myth if it weren't for ......

... The Self-Imposed Isolation, the Real Isolation chosen of it's own free will by the Illegal Regime to isolate its illegalities, to hide the Ethnic Cleansing, to conceal the mass-graves of hundreds of the victims of the Murdering Turkish Army whilst it has imported 10,000s Illegal Settlers to swamp the tissies under the secretive cover of isolation.

So in these ways there is a very real Isolation, one that has been internally imposed by the Turkish Regime for its own ends, which regretfully have to say includes controlling the tissies.

An Isolation from the Legal Norms of the Free World. Tnucland couldn't "work" any other way.

Without the Isolation the Regime would collapse tomorrow.

Can I just add... this form of internal isolation isn't unusual, it's done time and time again by Dodgy Regimes the world over, over the years.... but you all know this.

Bill ignorance does not suit you. You know very well the main trade of Cyprus is Tourism. It takes 6 hours for a flight to Ercan and 3.5 to Larnaca. If you think that is a fair trade situation I really feel sorry for you.
Landing in Larnaca is not an option either. Not even if it was free, not while Ercan is blockaded.
So buck your ideas up old chum.

Punishing of populations on the wrongs of a few is not just unfair; it is also illegal and immoral. Which goes to show what International law is about.

And yet that's what Turkey did to the population of northern Cyprus after the coup. Life's unfair, isn't it?

YFred wrote:Which goes to show what International law is about.

Tell that to the guarantors of Cyprus's territorial integrity. And one guarantor in particular is now paying for not complying with the law. Like I said, life's a bitch.

U still r not aware of that most of the things developed in favour of Greek-GC duo bcz it was perforce in interests of western block. Read all those CIA reports and then the US-UK officials conversations how they were concerned abt stability of NATO during the poliitically trubulent years of Greece. The legitimacy of RoC is a product of arts and wiles of politics, abuse of relations in NATO by then Greek officials in cooperation with GC national Front.

In this context, when allies perfoce accept(Seems in near future) the legitimacy of TRNC u should not cry for "unfairness"... It's time for Turkis-TC alliance to use arts and wiles of politics and abuse it's advantegous status in western alliance.

We are too close to "home" to sustain any form of isolation on these criminals. They will keep breaking through and using our resources. But the EU has enough clout and authority and should be doing more to cut them off completely, until they give back the stolen territories!

Do not be ashamed of punishing criminals. We have to continue improving the world and imparting good moral conduct as an example to the next generations. The Turks let Humanity down.
