For those that are following the political events in Turkey….i would like to say that one must take note of Mr. Erdogan's character as it relates to the row over the presidency. He has shown true wit, initiative and loyalty…particularly to his foreign minister, this despite growing threats from the military establishment. He will not back or bow down to a military that continues to demand a significant role in Turkish politics.

Tuesday night Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan at a news conference said he would apply to parliament to hold early elections on either June 24 or July 1. He further proposed that the Turkish constitution should be changed so that the Turkish president could be elected in a referendum rather than by the parliament as is the case at the moment.

| One way to ensure that the Islamists do not take over Turkey is to introduce a law that would give hairdressers and barbers a new lease of life. Make the wearing of beards , both for men and women Illegal ! Women as well as men can keep their moustaches . |
