icemans so right!
She should be allowed to wear whatever she wants...what are people trying to say? Just because the TCs aren't that religious, she shouldn't be allowed to wear a headscarf? Thats ridiculous!
It's shocking to see Ceyhuns extreme view towards such a petty thing. |

Thank you Zan.... at least one of us is thinking straight.
Iceman this is not a muslim country - i am turkish cypriot and i know for a fact that no one in here honestly cares about religion or actually knows anything about it... so why are you taking this so personally, you are basically fighting with us? |
I think you will find that it is a Muslim country but secular as it should be. I have no problem with anyone wearing whta ever they want, as I have said, but it is not quite as bad but try shouting out bomb in an American airport.....It is just not a good idea. Why make trouble as head of state. |
Only in the abysmal loopholes of mentally unstable brains can "wearing a headscarf" be possibly equated with "shouting out bomb in an American airport!" |

A scarf headed leader of Cyprus and standing in an airport and hearing someone shout bomb would certainly give you some heart problems Kifeas...
Has your IQ level dropped or something.....You used to understand these little examples I gave you, although I got the same foul mouthed response every time!!!! Use it or lose it Kifeas....Cut down on the gym and get back to school...You have been concentrating on the first for too long it seems.. |

| I think the point is being missed here. This is the flexing of muscle between the religious and secular. As simple as that and in the present circumstances the headgear should not have been warn. The religious undertones are there for all to see. It would have been a good opportunity for her not to wear the headscarf and show us that the religious freaks are not taking over....It has shown us the reality though... |
Zan...you are the one missing the point here...This woman has been wearing turban since she was a child,it his her belief and way of life....why should she take it of now??
Get over this paranoia of religious freaks taking over..It wont happen.. |
Actually she only started wearing it once she got married to Gul, and to be honest i think it is not only sickening but also embarrassing to see them 2 morons at the presidential palace, not only because they are disgustingly religious but also because Gul has got quite a bit of history in Turkey with his past actions related to abusing taxpayers money and extreme religious speeches, and not to mention that the couple had taken their own country to the international courts for the headscarf issue not that long ago, and now they are in the presidential palace :/ |

| Its not her choice, because she is representing the country where half of the people still don't agree with it... |
