Cypriot sailing champion Pavlos Kontides won second place in the Laser category of the World Cup in Qingdao, China, organised by the International Sailing Federation.

The games began on October 12 and ended on October 19.

According to ISAF, the gold medal was won by Tonci Stipanovic from Croatia

...we remember of course, his wonderful performance at the Olympics.

It's a shame some people do not consider Cyprus and its waters to be as pretty as the Mediterranean further north and west.

You mentioned the Greek islands hence the Aegean and Ionian!

Yes I do think the Aegean and Ionian are more beautiful! That's just the honest truth. Sue me! :lol:
